Greetings, my dear friends!
For challenge 279, I choose:
What household chore do you leave for the weekend and why?
The house itself takes time and dedication; it's not just about sleeping and eating, it's about giving it that love that, even if the walls are colourful, makes it feel and convey harmony when it is in tune with its owners. Applying the phrase: your house is a reflection of you.
Currently, my weekends are devoted entirely to the home. As I mentioned before, I am still on postnatal leave, so being a housewife is my only option. I do activities such as washing, cleaning, and tidying up, which I do every 8 days, or every 15 days if it's a deep clean, synchronising it with the weekend and counting on help from my partner or my parents to look after my baby while I get down to work, without neglecting my culinary skills, as there is time to make something good, creative and appetising.
This weekend I devoted myself exclusively to washing my baby's clothes and preparing the food that cannot be missing. I get hungry all the time; let's just say I'm a bottomless pit, ha ha ha. I made a pesto pasta, but I added some chopped chicken I had left over from the day before, so I got a little inspired because I had basil in my pantry, which is a special ingredient in our country's cuisine because of its aroma and flavour. I also had my coffee, which helps me meditate when my son is asleep.
I try to accompany all the activities I mentioned with music, preferably salsa and merengue, which are my favourites. I feel like I get more done. I suppose our minds focus so much on the rhythm and it infects us so much that we do countless things... and if we're in the mood, we clean every last speck of dust off the pictures, ha ha ha. Has this ever happened to you?
The reasons why I do my chores on weekends are:
I need help taking care of my baby so that I can do my activities thoroughly.
I let the week's chores pile up so that I don't have to do the same thing over and over again when it comes to washing or ironing.
The activities are shared according to family planning.
Adult life is not easy. It makes us wish we could turn back time and be children again, laughing and playing, without the endless worries we face now, such as debts, what to buy, saving and investing. Just thinking about how to make the money stretch gives me a headache. Hahaha
I was with my family, wishing for more moments of sharing, hugs and laughter that make these days unique and fill our souls.
I hope you have a wonderful week.
Greetings and blessings to all.
