Hello dear friends, have a blessed weekend.
Time flies and we’re already on to challenge 305. This time, I’ve chosen the following question:
What do you miss most about your childhood and why?
I believe that childhood is the most beautiful stage of a person’s life; there are no worries, no obligations, no danger whatsoever, just being happy in every way, surrounded by loved ones such as parents, family and friends who shape our journey, whilst never ceasing to dream big.
We learn values and customs that define us as we grow older, and along the way we experience good times and bad; the truth is, we never forget them.
Good and evil in life shape us, and only in this way will we be able, when the time comes, to stand our ground against the turbulent society that surrounds us, for there are very few people who genuinely wish us well.
The thing I miss most about my childhood is spending time with my whole family around the table and during special occasions, as several of them have passed away and left a void in my heart.
Following on from that, one of my favourite things was swimming in the river with my brothers, sisters and cousins.
Playing, going for walks, eating whatever we fancied without worrying about blowing our budget – that was the best. Adult life is no walk in the park, ha ha ha; we miss a life without stress.
Simple moments, like laughing over stories with the people we love, wrapped in hugs that warm the soul. We miss those moments dearly; now it’s time to be strong and stand firm, carrying on the legacy of our parents with a sense of responsibility towards life.
Although, on the other hand, ever since I was a child I always played at having a family, and today I have my own, which fills me with satisfaction because, regardless of the financial situation we face, there are moments that are worth their weight in gold and are worth living for.
There’s no way to describe it; it’s simply about feeling it and leaving a mark on our roots.
