I've been engaged twice and yet never had the opportunity to say vows, so I have no real life experience of this whatsoever, but I'll give it a whirl as I'm not the gal to shy away from out of the question questions.
The Vows
I watched the sun crest the mountains at the very precipice of daybreak, the air all around becoming illuminated and it reminded me of you
I've walked the water's edge and felt the fish nibble on my toes while at play down by the riverside and the image before me of a landscape as far as the eye could see, the majestic towering peaks capped with fallen snow, the icy water down below and all I yearned for was you
Through forest's trails I meandered life and watched the dusk bring the inky black sky gleaming with a trillion stars and I felt you
The crisp frosted grass below my boots crunch and snap, beguilingly pretty but needing the warmth just as I needed you
The days pass us by with loving touches here and there, a compliment, a word, laughter shared and all the times you've told me stories, enchanted as I intently listened by the fireplace, I've wanted you
The way you eat your sandwiches and how you meticulously do your hair in the morning while I rush around aimlessly searching for my keys, you always know the answer, you are always standing there for me.
Through the tears of hardships and the smiles of holidays we have shared a million memories and moments, the closeness and beauty of everything we have together. It is for every moment that I have chosen you and continue each day to. I will do it a million times plus one to spend all of the rest of eternity, waking up next to you, walking with you hand in hand and all the adventures we will share. For each of these times, I want to thank you and for each of these times, I say I do.
The Why
I think that the person I would marry would probably have a similar love for the outdoors so I think that as a common thread, we would probably spend a lot of time out in the middle of nowhere exploring together (or separately) and it would probably be where we derive the most love, enjoyment and togetherness/closeness.
