Those who have followed me during this time know that I have two children and that both live outside of Cuba. However, my youngest son has a half-brother on his father's side, whom I consider like a son, and he sees me as a mother.

From a young age, this boy was very restless, but we never imagined he would reach the place he is now.

It turns out that, after finishing primary school, he decided to enroll in the School of Art, specializing in ballet. This was unexpected for the whole family, and many thought that David would quickly abandon the career due to how demanding and difficult it is.

But, as he progressed through the grades and levels, his love for classical dance grew.

Despite his talent, he lived in a province in the interior of the country. In this field, if you want to succeed, you must live in Havana, the capital of the country, because that is where the National Ballet School is located and where the best opportunities are found.
For this reason, we completed all the necessary paperwork, and since 2024, David has been living in Havana and is a student at the National Ballet School.

Today he is a prominent dancer among the young talents at the school.

This Saturday I received an invitation from David because he had been selected to dance an important piece and designated as the principal dancer. As one of the people closest to him, I was at the National Theatre of Cuba, where the performance took place.

There, we learned other important news for our son's life: he has been selected for a scholarship in Italy, one of the most prestigious opportunities in this field.

It was a very intense day, in which David showcased his artistic talents and his quality as a dancer. On more than one occasion, he had to go back on stage to receive the repeated applause of the audience.
