It feels nice to be in this weekend community. Actually it's my first time knowing about something of this sort going on here. So that literally means it's my first time posting in this community. From what I saw, it goes down here only on weekends and I love it. Why? Because I don't have the bother about what to post on weekends when I'm blank upstairs. I could just come here and get myself a topic and also enjoy write-ups from other writers.
To the handlers/admin of this community I just want to say kudos. You're doing a nice job.
Okay to step in formally into the engagement of the week. I've browsed through the topics above and carefully scanned for a more relatable one for me. I must say all the topics up there are interesting. But I found one better and that's the question below 👇
Back in fashion
Is there an out-of-fashion item you would like to come back into fashion? I'd say manners if I was answering this, but what about you? Is it clothing, a type of music or hair style, a tradition or way of life? What would you like to come back into fashion and why?
So I'll be talking about two things I've noticed that are out of fashion in our worlds today. And that's:
Happy ever after
Humanity in its pure form
Okay, relax I know you're probably wondering what I meant by those two up there. I'll be explaining further so stay with me, maybe grab a glass of wine and read on while I explain.
Happy ever after
Growing up I was privileged to meet my grandparents while they were still alive. And I could swear that seeing them together was a beautiful sight to behold. Even at an old age they literally couldn't stay out of each other's sight.
Grandpa was that strong enough again. And grandma, although a bit shaky, was stronger. I noticed that whenever they were out with us grandma barely let go of Grandpa's hands. I mean at such a tender age I was a beauty to behold.
Now this has gone down to my parents too. You could see them locking hands with each other. They love it as it was at the beginning. Yes they have their issues but they barely let us know and how they settle their differences is amazing.
But these days , I wouldn't generalize but if feels like there are less happy ever after. The number of divorce these days scares me. I wish we could go back to the good old days of genuine love and happiness ever after. I think it's getting out of fashion.
Humanity in its pure form
They wars, the gun violence, the ritual killings, the scamming of old women makes me wonder what happened to humanity these days. Where's the love. Bigger countries oppressing the little ones. leaders and their selfish interest not minding the welfare of the masses. Bosses and the over use of their workers.
I believe there was a time when it was much better than it is today. Can we just bring humanity back in fashion?
I think I'll stop here now. If you want to join the discussion ongoing at the weekend experience kindly click the link below 👇
