Realized this time may-day holiday has overlapped with weekend!
I have always felt contradicted on every 1st May (holiday), after clocking into professional life!
I haven't been any usual WORKER, rather a HUMANITARIAN worker all along That humanitarian tag was something that adds a remarkable liability to carry on shoulder.

We too were working just like any other corporate settings.
We too had HR, procurement, logistics; we have medical professionals; we too was in need of engineers, legal officers and all that.
We have to manage, administrate, liaison as authority.
We too had corruptions, legal issues, legislations, internal politics and all that has in a work place environment.

What is it that makes a difference between WORKER and HUMANITARIAN WORKER?

After pondering a while, I ascertained the idea is all about being responsible of a highly codified advocacy of equity is what makes the difference Usual day at refugee camp
So I was discoursing about May day holiday. Like everywhere, we too had holiday on May 1st! I felt contradicted of taking may day holiday! Because I was no random worker. To be literal, I was more a VOLUNTEER than a worker!
I am here to work for the people whose RIGHTS as a human has been officially DENIED.

Yes, we do suffer often for our political leaders misjudgment, corruption, dictatorships but at least we have a place to stay, to work, to live and to survive without random hassles. A country I call MINE.

I was working for those people who were forcefully displaced from the piece of land they belonged, they called home!
I was working to make their life with our little free service. (We get payed by our organizations though)

Hence I felt often contradicted that as a humanitarian worker is that ethical of enjoying that holiday!

Yes! I am making my living while serving for humanity. So I am also a defined 9-5 labor! I too need to relax and enjoy my time!
But I also feel a little guilty that as my purpose of work is different, I should not be allowed of this holiday!

But as this holiday has overlapped with weekend, it becomes a usual weekend right!

I am allowed to just feel at ease, have coffee and cherish the time!
