Shared weekend
If I get a chance to spend the weekend with someone, I would definitely like to meet a homeless veteran military man to learn about him, because many peoples are interested to film personalities and famous people from all over the world to meet and learn about them.
No one has time to think about the former veteran military persons of the country.
Because many people of the world are influenced by the glare of rich, famous, filmy, famous people.
To fulfil this wish, I went to the former military's service chief office in my city last weekend and asked him how many elderly soldiers in our city are homeless. I was told about 8-10 names.
I went to that old age home to meet one of them and brought him to my house to ask him about his life experiences.
He told me that he was the son of a simple farmer family, in those days there was no examination to be admitted to the military, only he used to get admitted by doing physical tests and running some distance etc.
He told me that when he was only 22 years old, he was recruited by the army in 1955.

Then some shyness told with a slight smile on their face that after a year of recruitment, he was married to a beautiful girl from his own village.
After marriage, I used to come home sometimes 2 or 3 times a year after taking leave from the army.
Then in 1962, my posting was on the highest mountain in the country, in those days the neighbouring country attacked our country due to a border disputes, we did not even have enough modern weapons and resources to fight them. Many of my companions died in this war, I was also brought to the hospital in an injured state, but then there was an agreement between the two countries.
the second battle I saw in 1965, this time my appointment was in the field, in this war also there were night airstrikes, artillery attacks, and face-to-face battles on our army.
even in those days, both armies were not had more modern weapons. In those days the news of the battles reached the people through radio or newspapers, there was no facility of phone etc.
The wives and family members of the soldiers did not get any news about them.
If a soldier survived the war, he used to reach home, otherwise, his corpse was delivered to his house, many soldiers were not even found dead, they were not allowed to be taken by the soldiers of enemy countries.
Similarly, while serving in the army, we worked for about 30 years and in 1985 he retired from the army on the basis of physical fitness.
In those days, the government pension was also very less, but still took care of the children by farming on the lands of the village and all of them went to their respective cities after reading and writing and settled there.
My wife also passed away and the children did not need me nor did they care me, it was difficult to pass through the pension, and the work of agriculture was no longer in my control, so I gave all the lands of the villages to my relatives.
Left the village after giving the lands to the relatives I came here to the old man's house, now I am spending the rest of my life with some other old people who do not have any help.
Hearing his experiences brought tears to my eyes and I requested him that whenever you need you can call me if I can be of some use to him then I will be very happy.
And I wanted to take a photo of him but he refused and said now at this age he does not want any publicity.
