Haha, I knew someone would ask that.
The meaning if life, in my mind, is that there is no meaning...There is just life. I'm not inclined to spend time searching for something that I may never find, a concept or some neat way to package up life; I'd rather be out living it.
Life can't be packaged and defined, not in a general way anyway; It's different for all, and even for one individual the meaning of it may change over time and with circumstances. Life takes on different meanings throughout different phases of life, teen, adult, elderly, when death hits close to a person, when children are born; There's phases within phases also.
Life is messy and clean, hot and cold, up and down, good and bad, happy and sad...It's not something I believe one could define and if they try, it's just words that may resonate within that individual, maybe not anyone else.
So...I'll rephrase the question...What brings meaning to my life.
- Seeking to be the best version of me I can possibly be.
- Being humble and kind
- Showing generosity of self
- Not taking shit
- The way I love so passionately
- My giving nature and soft side
- My intolerance for those who prey on the weak
- My humour and sense of fun
- The way I can laugh hardest at myself
- That I'm a good brother
- That I am loyal
- That I'm a good kisser and the worlds best hugger
- Great boobs...Love them!
- The smell of cut grass or vanilla
- Slipping between fresh sheets
- My directness candour
- The way Faith looks at me 33 years after meeting her
- A hug from my niece and nephew
- Beautiful women
- Lego
- Reading
- Travel
- Corn chips and salsa
I think you get the idea...I cold go on, and on and on...
What's the meaning of life? Well, maybe it's simply the things one furnishes their life with, the things that put smiles on faces, warms hearts and makes them sing. I do not believe anyone but oneself can ever answer this question well enough to satisfy another person...That's because there's only ever one of each of us.
Probably a shit answer.
