"The richness I achieve comes from nature, the source of my inspiration."
I'd say that's a fair comment that relates quite well to myself; I spend so much time surrounded by nature, seeking the solace and peace I find there, and feel inspired by it. I cannot claim these words as my own, it seems Claude Monet, the author of that quote, loved nature as much as I, but they certainly align closely with my own ethos.
Welcome to Friday and week 50 of the #weekend-engagement topic - I hope you have all had a great week and are ready for the weekend ahead.
If you're not familiar with the #weekend-engagement concept you need to respond to the topic in the comments section of this post. The idea is that you stay around and engage with others too - It's all about engagement and building relationships so get involved and engaged with the other hivers and, above all else, have some fun.
On Monday I'll transfer hive to a few of you who engage below, just for your commenting. It's an easy concept - Just get engaged. It's not a competition, simply a chance to interact with a few other hivers in the community and to have fun with the community.
Weekend-engagement topic week 50
Shows us one of your pictures of the natural world
In the comments below drop a picture you have taken of the natural world and explain why you selected it, what you like about it or the moment in which it was taken.
The image must be your own and can be of anything from the natural world at all, trees, sunrise, sunset, the ocean, mountains, beach, mushrooms, your vegetable garden, wilderness, animals, the sky...Just make sure it's your own image and explain why you selected it or about the moment in which you took the photo.
This is not a photography competition, you don't need to be an award-winning photographer, and phone photos are welcome. Just get involved with a photo of your choice with an explanation.
Read this bit so you know what to do. ☝️
This is my photo above, my choice to share with you.
I took it with my phone from a helicopter above a mountain range that runs between Mt Larkins and Centaur Peaks north of Queenstown, New Zealand. I was on the way back to Queenstown from a visit to Mount Earnslaw Burn, a huge glacier-carved valley where I got to spend ninety minutes exploring one of the most amazing places I've ever been.
The helicopter company I charted have the sole-right to land in the Burn so there was no one else there, besides the pilot, and I was left feeling very small and insignificant when surrounded by such a majestic natural location. It was a special moment indeed.
That's the topic for this week folks. You have until very late Sunday night your time to get your response into the comments below and I hope you'll engage this week as it'll be good to see you around over the weekend. Have a great weekend whether you engage or not.
