I’m a makeup artist and also a human hair vendor. Weekend happens to be the busiest days of the week for me, because Nigerians love going to parties so I have to get them ready for that.
I’m going to be writing about my ideal weekend 🙂.
WHERE IS IT
I spend my weekend in Lagos state, Nigeria. Which is where I reside.
WHAT HAPPENS
When does weekend starts actually, it confuses me most times. Does it start from Friday or Saturday?
My weekends starts from Friday.
My weekends are majorly occupied by two activities which are; makeup and hair.
WITH WHO
My perfect weekends is always with my customers, because I love it when I make people look beautiful.
EXPLANATION
My weekends starts from Friday. And this weekend, I went to the Lagos island market to get human hair for my customer. Leaving my makeup studio unattended to.
While going to the market I got a call from a customer that she wanted to get her makeup done and I was not available, I lost that money 😭😭. I tried to console myself with the fact that I won’t take long in the market, because I wanted to buy just one hair.
But after buying the hair getting a shuttle going back to the mainland from the market at the island was hard. I waited at the bus station for about 2hrs, and the sun was really hot.
While waiting they gave everyone at the bus station numbers, because it was getting crowded and they don’t us to start arguing about who came first and who is supposed to be in the shuttle, when the shuttle finally arrives.
After losing the first customer because I was not available, two more came and I was still at the bus station waiting for shuttle. I was extremely sad because I lost three customers at a time.
After waiting for 2 hours the shuttle finally came.
what there were avoiding ( people dragging each other and arguing for who will get in the shuttle) happened. After so much pushing I finally got on the shuttle, looking drained out and sad😔
The people who were lucky to get numbers sat down, while the people who didn’t have numbers had to stand.
.
My Friday was stressful, annoying and a sad one. But it was perfect because I made money.
Let’s move to Saturday 🙂.
MAKEUP
Saturday started with an appointment I made on Thursday. I was supposed to meet up with my client by 10am, I went to her address and she was not ready yet. I had to wait for her to be ready for me to get her makeup done.
While waiting for her I had other people looking for me at my makeup studio 🥲. One of the people called me and booked for 2:30pm.
After waiting for 3hrs she was finally ready and I had to rush everything because I had been waiting for long and I also have someone waiting for me at my makeup studio.
I didn’t even get to take her pictures because we were both in a hurry, but she sent me some pictures she took.
Immediately I finished with her, i had to rush down to my studio so I could attend to the lady who booked me for 2:30, because it was already 2pm and I had to beat traffic.
After so much traffic I arrived at the studio by 3:00pm and then we started her makeup. Didn’t get to take pictures of every step because she has been waiting for a while, so I had to be as fast as I could. I took pictures of the end product.
After getting her makeup done I rested for a while then I headed home 🙂.
My Saturday was kind of stressful but I made money🙂. It was well spent working.
CONCLUSION
Weekends are my best days of the week because I get a lot of customers. My perfect weekend always happens with my customers, at my makeup studio in Lagos state, Nigeria.
Thanks for visiting 🙂
