Option three: The elimination
You have the power to completely eliminate any three people from the planet, relatives included, either from the present or the past. Who would you choose, why and how do you think their elimination would affect the future, or your future specifically.
If I had the power to erase three people from our history (present or past), I'd start by #1 hugo chavez, the source of most evil that has befallen Venezuela in the last decades. Today, the chavistas celebrate the first Coup d'etat that lounched chavez's tyranical career. Without him we would (probably) not have had a bolivarian revolution and all the tragedies that derived from there.
Source
ANC stands for Constituent National Assembly. The red monster that accurately depicts what that assembly became says "Follow the example that the commander [chavez] gave us", alluding the failed coup of February 4th 1992.
Of course, to make sure that a second in comand would not gotten inspiration for a similar military/civilian revolt, it would not hurt to erase #2 fidel castro from the picture too.
Castro lived too long and caused too much damage not only to the Cuban people but to the whole continent. He promoted and supported most leftist revolutions in America and other continents and plagued Cuba with a curse noone see ending any time soon.
Whoever defends the existence of monsters like these ones under the assumption that they are part of some god's twisted plan to teach some twisted lesson should know by now that humanity will never learn from these kinds of teachers (actually humanity tends to ignore good teachers too, but never mind that. If we could rid ourselves from monsters, why not?).
That's why I would go even further back in time and eliminate #3 joseph stalin (I know some may argue that without a lenin there might not have been a stalin, but let's go with the time line according to which lenin was the one who did the most harm and inspired the most evil).
I think that the very existence of monsters like the three I picked (along with a long list of tyrants and their accomplices), who ususally have amazing surviving stories to tell as a way of justifying their predestination to power, is the best evidence of the absence of god, or at least of a good/fair/just/loving one.
We can only imagine what history and life might have been like without evil people who made sure life would be ruined for millions way after they were gone. It is a nice exercise when we confirm every day that politicians around the world have learned no lesson from the past and are only competing to see who can screw up the biggest so that they can become the monsters of the future.
