Greetings dear friends, I hope you are having a great weekend. Reading the interesting proposals of friend in Weekend Engagement Topics: WEEK 213, of the 5 proposals, I chose the following:
Do you have a favourite board game and if so why? - Use your own photos.
I always had board games, in my childhood they were always present at home, they were the favorite gifts for Christmas and birthdays. In those times there was no internet or video games, which I later had the joy of knowing. For that reason, while we stayed at home, board games were the best option, they were fun and took hours to finish, so the entertainment seemed endless. I liked to play cards, monopoly, ludo and Chinese checkers, however, the competition overwhelmed me, it stressed me out, and who likes to lose? The endings were not always happy, all the smiles were for those who had to win, but when the game was lost, you know.
The truth is, board games have a positive impact, they improve cognitive, sensory and motor skills. My favorite board game is the head breaker, unlike other games, you don't need to look for a partner, you can assemble it alone, at your own pace, without pressure and without competition. I have assembled them with only a few pieces and time is not a problem there.
For this game there is no age, so you are always welcome. As I like challenges, years ago I acquired one of 500 pieces, obviously I did not assemble it the same day, in my free time I was placing the pieces and I did it until my mind got tired. I spent several days until I finished it, I felt a great achievement and satisfaction when I saw it finished.
I love this game because in addition to the advantages I have mentioned, while I was putting together the 500 pieces game, I started to notice that my memory improved, my mind was more awake, I improved a lot in my work because I grasped everything faster, my cognitive skills became sharper and my creativity increased. Besides being a fun game, it helped me a lot in my mental development. Today this game accompanies me at home, now the challenge is 1000 pieces.
