As I finally ended my “school boy era,” I promised myself that I would return to the things I want to pursue long-term. I know I have potential in the career path I want to follow. Things just went south before because I focused heavily on my academic pursuits. I also achieved some personal goals last year, but I feel like I can still push myself further. So here are the things I’m going to work on in 2026 to exceed my financial and career potential:
(1) Consistent Posting on TikTok 2 Times a Day
Since last month, I started uploading and scheduling content at least twice a day. I was inspired to pursue it again after seeing many people afford their needs and wants by selling as middlemen. There was also a time when I earned four digits monthly. I only stopped because of work and school commitments. Now that I’m “grad-waiting,” I promised myself to post twice a day. My main struggle is about brainstorming post that will generate me higher conversions and sales. So far, I’m testing different strategies to see what sticks and what works. I just need to reinvent my marketing tactics to gain a competitive edge.
By the way, discovering affiliate marketing is the main reason why I shifted from Banking and Microfinance to Marketing. I really plan to do this long-term.
(2) YouTube Posting Twice a Month
It’s been 45 days since I last uploaded a YouTube video. Unfortunately, I didn’t follow it up because my previous script felt off due to profanity, despite countless revisions. If I didn’t have OJT at that time, I think I would only be waiting for monetization now. Therefore, in 2026, my goal is to publish videos twice a month to speed up the process. If I did it before, I can do it again with more focus this time. I would be more grateful if I could eventually release long-form videos in the 20–30 minute range. My niche is music commentary, where I talk about music records, celebrity gossip, and other music-related topics.
(3) Blogging Here 3–4 Times a Week
I’ve been writing here since 2022, and it’s bad that my reputation is still at 64. I know that’s a sign that I wasn’t serious about growing my account before. Since I already made progress three years ago, I believe I can do it again. So far, I’m glad that I’ve started rebuilding. Writing here is currently my primary source of income since my YouTube channel isn’t monetized yet. Meanwhile, my TikTok commissions still don’t reach minimum wage daily.
I’m not saying that my earnings here can already feed a family of five. However, they can cover my productivity subscriptions and help me settle my outstanding loans on a shopping platform. I also like paying for items using my credit line on the app since it offers free shipping, three-month installments, and zero interest. If I know I can promote the product, I’ll purchase it. I also use part of my earnings here for church purposes as part of our obligation. Now that I’ve been more consistent and engaging with others, I can see gradual progress.
(4) Losing Weight Below 60 Kilos
In 2025, I managed to lose weight from 80 kg down to 68 kg. I know I still have the potential to lose more since I’ve done it before. My main strategy is controlling my calorie intake from breakfast to dinner. I also avoid eating out of boredom. Every 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., I do my Just Dance routine along with additional exercises. I do eccentric squats, pulse squats, and planks after finishing my cardio workout.
P.S. If I reach 60 kilos by April 1, I promised myself that I’ll buy a Redmi Watch 5.
(5) Getting Out of Bed 10 Minutes After Waking Up + Not Lying Down During Work Time
This is something I really want to fix. I promised myself that I’ll do my morning obligations right after waking up. I also won’t lie down on my bed during work hours. I think lying down after two hours of work is fine, but I’ll limit it to 30 minutes of rest only.
P.S. If I follow this routine until Day 45, I’ll buy myself Baseus earphones.
Thank you for reading.
