On Saturday, we arrived at almost 7 pm. The colorful stairs near the main entrance were an excitement boost.
These bright butterfly displays were also adorable. I couldn't keep my eyes off of them.
As we walked further, there were plenty of Sinulog merchandise and souvenirs, mostly handmade products. Everything looked so beautiful!
After looking around, we decided to eat first before exploring more. Since we didn't want to go any farther, we opted for Greenwich, just nearby. It is one of our favorite restaurants because they cook pizza and pasta really well, serving them fresh and hot.
This is what I ordered for my dinner: I wanted to try their rice-bakes meal, so I got the ham and bacon. My mom had rice with chicken and pizza. Afterward, we asked for a bag to pack the chicken bones to give to our beloved dogs when we get home.
We wouldn't miss taking pictures and we were trying to look cute in these.
After eating, we exited the restaurant with happy tummies. A few steps from Greenwich, there was a stall offering tattoo stickers. My mom tried to persuade me to get one, but I refused. Other festival items were also displayed for sale. Everything looked so festive, and I loved it!
Next stop, we headed to the department store to browse Sinulog shirts. There were many designs and colors to choose from, all at affordable prices.
We liked this black shirt with yellow and white design; however, the sizes were limited for this particular design. We wanted to get the same shirt for the two of us, but there was only one small size shirt available. We tried to find another one, but sadly there wasn't any in the area.
So, what we did was head to Islands Souvenirs. However, we didn't find a shirt that matched our liking. While we were heading out of the store, I found out that there was a cut and style booth for Sinulog shirts, which I found really cool.
A few steps from the Islands Souvenirs, we stopped in this area because we noticed another stall with Sinulog shirts on display, and it was a bit crowded.
As we browsed for shirts, luck was on our side when we found the exact design we had originally wanted. Initially, there was only one small-sized shirt available in our preferred design. Fortunately, while I was scanning the display, one of the staff asked what I was looking for. I told him my preference, and he promptly pointed out the right one. We were thrilled to finally find it, and I'm grateful for the assistance. The guy was like an angel sent to help us.
Afterwards, we went downstairs to buy cotton candy. I had been eyeing it while we were walking around earlier that night. Well, what can I say? The colors were tempting me, and I have a sweet tooth.
I found out that they can create designs with your cotton candy such as Hello Kitty, Minions, and many more. I opted for a Hello Kitty cotton candy, and it was so cute. My mom even doubted I could finish it because it looked so big.
My mom had been talking about the colorful and bright Sinulog square located at the North Wing Atrium. She had seen it on social media beforehand. So, we headed there after I finished my cotton candy. It looked and felt so festive! We were in awe of all those beautiful splashes of colors. My mom and I enjoyed the place as much as the kids there did. The atmosphere was filled with the festive energy of Sinulog. It seemed like we had saved the best for last.
On the same floor, we also came across an entrance and exit with vibrant and lively decorations, and we took pictures, mostly for my mom. We left the mall at around 11 pm, filled with so much joy.
I must say, I am still in awe of my experience! It's always enjoyable at SM. Even an impromptu stroll can provide an awesome and wholesome experience (just don't forget your wallets and cards, though). That is why my mom and I never get tired of coming back to the mall. SM never fails to amaze us by providing everything we need and infusing the mall with radiant energy, perfectly matching the theme during special occasions like Sinulog.
Thank you for reading my blog, sweeties! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed writing it. Here's to more awesome experiences!
