Hi, dear Hivers
This is my entry to 's #EngagetheWeekend topic on nature. Thanks for the oportunity to share.
It's been another tough week. Work is not going well, academic plans still on hold, lots of stress. Nothing better than going outdoors to find some peace of mind.
I love nature, especially the sea. Anywhere with a beach I feel home.
My boyfriend and I decided to clear our heads walking along the malecón. It is a long corridor along the Sao Luis coast. I love this part of the city. Even though the water is not so warm and placid, it reminds me of my home.
This bike path actually remined me of when I had just arrived to Venezuela and my father helped me learn to ride a bike. It was also a rental in a tiny track that had been recently open along the Perimetral Av of Cumaná. A few years later, there was not much left from that little park.
The bikes were about $4 an hour. We rode some 3 kilometers and then back. Then 3 more kms down the road and back to return the bikes, for a total of 12 km.
It was a great exercise and we had a beautiful scenery to enjoy the ride.
I had not ridden a bike in a long time, but I still rememnered and it felt really good.
Mission accomplished!
So thankful for this beautiful sea, the breeze, the clouds, all the colors in the sky. I know that like the tide that goes up and down, our lives can be agitated sometimes. I have to be patient and wait for this bad weather to go away and the sun to shine again.
I love nature in all its forms. My parents taught me to enjoy it and appreciate it. We went to rivers, mountains, lakes, zoos, water parks, and beaches. Here in Brazil I have been to deserted areas with dunes and all, as well as thick forests. I feel great in any of these environments.
I hope to always be able to enjoy these places.
