Luz's Bisthday
Greetings my dear friends of Hive, it's been a while since I have been writing and sharing with all of you. And today I want to tell you a little bit about it and why it is important for me to celebrate my birthday and the birthday of the people I love.
Miranda's Birthday
The day of our birth, that day when we leave the comfort of the womb and overcome the 'first obstacle that is to use our lungs for the first time we cry loudly giving peace of mind and joy to our parents and doctors, that day is unique because we have been given the gift of life and formally begins our stay here in the earthly world.
Each year that we add to our existence is a gift from God, and more than celebrating that we are alive, present, we are grateful for the fact that we can continue here adding experiences, collecting moments, and fighting for those dreams that we want to achieve before saying goodbye.
As a mom I have given more value to celebrate this day, I am very happy when the day comes when I saw my daughters for the first time, I internalized how valuable it is to tell them I am happy that you are here, that you are part of my life and I want to celebrate more years of life with you.
In the same way I understood how nice it is to tell the people we love that we are happy for their presence, for having the joy of knowing them and to remind them that every day, every year is a blessing.
My Dad's Birthday
The present is the only certainty we have, tomorrow is the hope of still being here. My dad celebrated his last birthday this January 16th of this year, I made him his auyama cake, as he asked for it, 71 years collecting moments that he took with him this July 11th, and with us the good and not so good memories that led us to be who we are today.
We do not know when it is our turn to say goodbye, so celebrating our birthday is an act of gratitude and a reason for joy that should not go under the table. We were able to celebrate another year, when many will not be able to, we can embrace those we love, we can give them smiles while they are still here, we cannot let this opportunity to do so pass us by.
