Around this time last year, i went to a trip at Sandra's Garden for our Christmas outing. As a nature lover, i couldn't contain my happiness upon arriving at the place because it has been one of my bucket list to be able to sleep and wake up surrounded by green pastures.
It took us an hour to arrive in this place but it was all worth it as we are staying here for 3 days and 2 nights. We only booked some rooms and tents but fortunately there were no other people booking so we had the place exclusively for ourselves.
After settling our things into our respective rooms, we then prepared for the christmas party. The Christmas party committee are incharge of setting the backdrop while us new hires practiced for our dance presentation. Some people wandered around the place while others just stayed in their room and took a nap. This was my first Christmas Party as an employee and i was very excited.
The Christmas party went on as usual. There were raffles, exchanging gifts, and awarding ceremony. But it couldn't end without some drinks and karaoke seasion. My friends and i gave in to a couple of drinks and left the party. We stayed in our room in our pajamas and played truth or dare instead.
The next morning, i woke up quite early. The first thing i did as soon as i woke up was to hike around, enjoying the view and the morning sun. I love how slow paced it felt, not to mention the cool breezy air that can only be felt in the mountain tops. If only i could stay here forever, i would haha.
Soon people woke up one by one. We then gathered together and had breakfast. I brought myself some tea just because i want to feel like a zen haha. I ate the usual Filipino style breakfast consisting of rice, sunny side up eggs, and hotdog. Unfortunately, i didn't took some photos during this time.
Powered by our breakfast, we now have the energy to clean the Christmas party area as there are a lot of garbage left in there. I continued to walk around the garden, still in awe of our mother nature. How can there be so much beauty in this place? If only people could see what nature can give, then all of us would've help in saving mother earth.
We also had a mini team building that day.
In the afternoon, we had our free time. Some opted to roam around and take photos, while others just chilled and bond together. We preferred to stay in the dining area and watched some random anime that my friend really liked.
I took a quick nap in our room and freshen up for the evening. We had a simple buffet dinner by the garden. By 8pm, we gathered around the camp fire and had some activities. Of course, drinks were ever present in every activity😅 We also ate S'mores and chips as a complimentary to our drinks. I had fun talking about work and life in general. Each of us was able to share our story and the reason why we are who we are.
The next morning, everyone was already preparing to leave, packing their things and cleaning the rooms. We hopped into the van and went home.
That ends my adventure at Sandra's Garden. Thank you for reading!
Sending some love and light
