Happy weekend, my dear Hivers! On a normal Saturday, I usually only have a scheduled yoga class or dinner out with Ben. But yesterday was quite peculiar because I attended three activities.
Novena mass at Sto Nino church
If you're from Cebu, you sure know about the Sinulog festival - a celebration of tradition, culture, and a whole lot of street dancing. During Sinulog, I always try to participate in the 9 day Novena masses in the Sto Nino Church with a set of intentions. Today, I opted to attend the 8:30 AM mass because according to the weather forecast, heavy rain will be felt in the afternoon. And it truly did.
After the mass, I had my brunch at Patria de Cebu nearby while waiting for my friends to finish their errands. We plan to go together at the birthday party of our colleague (Birthday party #1).
This little girl turned 3 today. Her mother invited us for her Cinderella themed party at their house. It was a delightful time to reminisce the good old days where you join a children's Party complete with loot bags of candies.
Birthday party #2. By afternoon time, we then headed out to another birthday party of our colleague's kid. I know I've always love kids especially toddlers and infants. Growing up with 4 younger siblings, taking care of children isn't new to me anymore. In fact, I enjoy the task. I'm surprised that kids likes me too. They let me play with them and carry them with no tantrums.
For a moment, I got the chance to carry the birthday boy. Though this baby is just 1 year old, he seemed big for his age. Good thing I bought 1 size larger baby clothing set as my gift.
What a day field with children. In a way, I'm also healing my inner child by playing with them.
That's it for todays blog. See you in my next one!
Sending some love and light
With love, Jane
