As mentioned in my previous blogs, I recently went out for our summer outing event in our company. Its definitely summer season as the PAGASA reported the heat index at 40 degrees.
The salty air is truly evident in this sunny afternoon. Good thing we brought alot of refreshments to combat the heat.
As soon as we arrived at the beach resort, we got our room keys and checked in.
The rooms were quite hot and aircon didn't help at all. So I took a shower instead. We stayed in our rooms the whole afternoon and rested. In my younger years, I would probably be enjoying the sun right now and dance it all out. But I now acknowledge that my body is no longer as youthful as it was before. Plus, I never really enjoyed the beach as I prefer the mountains more.
When the clock strike 4:30 PM, the weather was a lot more cooler. We went out to the beach and played some games.
Before the sunsets, we dipped ourselves in their 5ft pool right in front of our rooms. I'm not sure whats in the pool but the water feels too heavy to swim. It must have high chlorine, perhaps? So I made sure to stick on the pool side to avoid drowning myself.
We then prepared dinner. Some people were in charge of cooking rice, while others were in charge of the dinner set up.
Of course, the celebration is incomplete without lechon. Our senior manager was kind enough to donate a whole lechon from Carcar City.
After dinner, we had a mini deep talks by the beach with some soju and yakult.
After our night session, I went straight to my room to get some rest. Some of my colleagues dipped themselves in the pool, for the second time today.
By morning, we ate our left over foods for breakfast plus 3 in 1 coffee. I usually drink my coffee brewed so this particular breakfast felt peculiar to me. Nevertheless, it's just a tiny adjustment on my day.
And thats how we ended our summer outing. We went back to the city just after lunch time.
That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!
Sending you some love and light
With love, Jane
