Happy weekend, my dear Hivers! News recently has been all about the Iran war and its effect in the world's economy. More than the killings and the death tolls, we are all affected because prices are rising. So for today's agenda, I'd like to reset and focus on the good that's left.
First things first, I went for an early morning walk in the nearby village. It's not everyday that I can have my morning walk, so Im grateful for simple moments like this.
Then, I ate my favorite yogurt with blueberries. Surprisingly, the raw blueberries aren't sweet at all, as compared to those that are already in jams and spreads.
After eating breakfast, I went out to the mall for a quick window shopping since I have no plans for today.
In my previous blog, I talked about being burned out from work and how badly I wanted to resign. After a few weeks of thinking about it- and with all that's happening in the world recently, I don't think it's the right time to do it. I also realized that even if I change my job, as long as its in finance or accounting, I believe it would still be the same whirlwind.
Lastly, part of my reset weekend is to start reading a book again. I chose this book from my mini library since it talks about office life- something that's quite relatable as of the moment.
"We had these sudden revelation that employment, the daily 9 to 5, was driving us far from our better selves."
-and I couldn't agree more. I'm still a few pages in, and the characters are true to life.
That's it for today's blog. Have a restful weekend everyone. See you in my next one!
Sending some love and light
With love, Jane.
