Assalamoalekum and hello to my #weekendexperiences community. Welcome to another blog. I hope you are all doing well and having a great day. I am also doing pretty well. I am fan of because he always came up with something very interesting and special. Sometimes I think how he knew that I like the topics which he came up with. His consistency is remarkable and his creativity is something admirable. I think it is quite difficult to produce new content every week.
I have gone through all the topics. I can write for more than one topic but I will go with first one. My favourite topic is which was your favourite subject at school level and which subject you dislikeed at school level.
I was a bright student of my class. I studied at Government High School Pai Khel District Mianwali Province Punjab of Pakistan. I passed my matriculation from this school in 2005. Those days were very special. I still remember I was class representative of my class. Our class consists of 57 students. Sometimes when teachers weren't present in class, I was given the responsibility to handle the class. But at time it was very difficult to handle the class of 57 students.
In 2004 I appeared in 9th class. When I went through the whole syllabus of 9th class, I felt Urdu, Islamic studies, Pak studies relatively easy subjects.
Except all these subjects, one subject was very close to my heart and was very favourite. That was English subject.
Although most of the students were not good in English. But from day one my English was very strong. English textbook became an easy subject for me.
I still remember English subject consists of few summaries of poems and few Urdu to English translation paragraphs. Some English to Urdu translation paragraphs. Some idioms and some questions from lessons.
I still remember summary of two poems:
First one is Little Things and it's summary is below 👇.
Often little things in life being big changes. As little drops of water make great seas. Little grains of sand make beautiful land. Short moments of time make ages. In the same way little errors become big sins which take us away from right path. However little deeds of kindness can make our enemies our friends. Thus we can make this world a happy place.
After passing twenty one years, the above summary is still in my memory. I still remember it and it is a proof of my love and liking for English subject.
Another summary of poem "Evening" is also in my memory. Here I am sharing this summary....
The day has passed. The sun has set. Everything is drowned into dark. The stars have appeared in the sky. The grass is wet with dew. Darkness is fearful.
But the poet is not afraid of darkness. He is sure God is always with him. He (God) looks after all his creatures. Since God is love and the best prayer of God is to love his creatures.
And the worst subject in class ten was Maths. I was too weak in Maths. When I went through maths textbook, I realised it very difficult. My interest in Maths from day one wasn't upto the mark. I always preferred reading other subjects instead of Maths. My teacher compelled me to work hard in Maths but all in vain because I knew I never made for Maths. My 10th result was a proof of my weaknesses in Maths. Maths was of 100 marks in class 10 and I got 34 marks out of 100. I hardly passed my Maths subject. 33 marks was passing marks and I got mere 34 marks. Although I passed my matriculation but Maths marks decreased my position in class. I got good marks from other subjects. That was a time when I knew the worst subject for me is Maths. I didn't continue studying Maths in intermediate, bachelor and masters.
English proved to be a favourite subject for me. A student who was studying in a Government School got excellent marks in English. It was a proof that I was good in English.
Here I am sharing my old picture of class ten.
So in the end I would say if you want to judge which subject you like and which you don't. All you need to see your interest level in these subjects. If you are taking interest in a particular subject, you are tailor made for this subject and it's your favourite subject. And if you are running from the subject and not taking interest from the specific subject, you should realise that you are not made for this subject. This subject would become worse for you. So always follow your interest at school level.
This is my entry post in weekend experiences community week 307. I hope you will enjoy my entry. Thanks for stopping. Have a great weekend.
