Hello everyone and hello for the first time to and all members of The Weekend community. I am happy to be here with you, to read about your weekend experiences and share my own. My attention was drawn to the inspiring theme "without" and I decided to join the challenge. I chose the topic "without items" because there are some items without which I really could not currently imagine my life.
Ever since I suddenly lost my father, the only way to relieve the stress and great sadness that has become an integral part of my life is through writing. I write poems and thus express all emotions because paper can endure everything, and it is very difficult for me to keep the grief to myself. I have a notebook, which makes me calm even when I just look at it. I know that it is always there and that it will accept what I have to say without asking me anything.
When I open it, I know it's me inside. Just me and everything I feel.
My father is no longer here, but I am here with all my emotions that tend to be expressed somewhere and have found their place in this notebook. If I lost it, I would lose a part of myself, so I keep it safe.
Music is medicine for my soul. My relaxation, enjoyment, an inseparable part of my life. So, I'm not going anywhere without my headphones. These are my favorites. They are special to me because I received them as a gift.
I wear them even now, whilst I am writing this post. 🙂
It's really hard for me to listen to the noise on public transport, at work, on the street. It may be quiet in your place, but Serbia is a noisy country, which is not in line with my nature. That is why I often wear headphones. I would rather always listen to music than the quarrels and discussions of people around me, especially on public transport, where I spend a lot of my time. If I lost them, my brain would be full of unnecessary information, because I would be forced to absorb it.
When it comes to music, in addition to headphones and listening at home, I like to listen to live music. I often go to concerts. At the last concert I was at, I received an item that means a lot to me because it was a concert by my favorite singer and artist, Darko Rundek. It is the glass in the picture below.
His music motivates me, moves me, gives me strength. He is specific and representative of alternative rock and is truly unique in the region where I live. The concert was in the botanical garden, in an open, and beautiful space.
That evening is my fond memory, and every time I use this glass I remember that awesome event. Without this glass, the water would not be so delicious even though it is tasteless.
Thank you very much for reading.
The images and writing are original and mine.
Greetings from Serbia!
Jelena
