Everyone's heart was filled with joy and their face with laughter after the gathering of the family weekend event that was held this weekend in my place of worship (church). An eventful weekend that would last in the heart of everyone that was involved in it including me as well. Smiles!
The news of this long awaited gathering was brought to the hearing of everyone last weekend and we were told to prepare hard for it because we strongly believed It was going to be awesome and it will be a gathering you wouldn't afford to miss knowing fully well that lots of goodies are going to be involved like Playing of games, music, sharing of gifts and lots
more.
Every household started preparing for the event, the welfare department had a huge impact on this event.
THE SOLE PURPOSE OF THE FAMILY WEEKEND;
The sole purpose of this family weekend was to bring departed and broken family together.
share food and clothing materials to the needy in the church.
Provide some shelters to the homeless and donations for the charity
Also to create a platform where job opportunities are being shared to the unemployed in the church.
Knowing that all these things that are mentioned above will involve some financial aid, we gave out some financial aids among the Church even the less privilege came out to be of assistance so as to make the weekend an eventful weekend. that was where the welfare department came in because it required lots of plannings.
So, the welfare and the pastorate held a pre meeting planning for the event so that it wouldn't be a flop and just to allow many people benefits from it. Well, I'm not in that department and I can't really tell how the planning really went but I can tell the stress and length they went through just to make the family weekend a success.
So, the list of the programs that was observed during the family weekend show was drama, ministrations of songs by both the young and the adults, recitation of poems and games too.
All of them had the same message that was passed to the members and lots of family that came for the event. You know like I mentioned earlier our sole purpose was to touch many lives.
The family weekend was a memorable one in the sense that I get to meet with a lots of family who are in need of financial aids and shelter.
After the event I stood and watched alot of people going home with so much gifts in their hands nd smile on their face I was glad in me and joyous.
I really enjoyed my weekend at least it was something to remember. Never imagined it would be this fun. But then I just thought I would also like to share how my weekend went like on #theweekend because this is the best place you can do that you know sharing your thoughts and telling the world part of your daily or weekly life events.

I was like this is the perfect opportunity for me any many people like me to relate to other people around the world, because I do like telling stories of my past events.
