Hello Hive friends! I hope you are doing well today and that you had a great weekend ❤️. These days I was a little busy finishing my project for the contest that we have tomorrow in the Needle Work Monday community, but since it is a secret and we cannot show it until tomorrow, I will not show it to you 😂. Instead I want to share with you a project that I was working on a few weekends ago: it is about these new houses that I bought for my dogs ❤️.
¡Hola amigos de Hive! Espero que se encuentren muy bien hoy y que hayan tenido un grandioso fin de semana. Estos días estuve un poco ocupada terminando mi proyecto para el concurso que tenemos mañana en la comunidad de Needle Work Monday, pero como es secreto y no lo podemos mostrar hasta mañana, no se los mostraré 😂. En su lugar quiero compartir con ustedes un proyecto en el que estuve trabajando hace unos fines de semana atrás: se trata de estas nuevas casas que compré para mis perros ❤️.
For a long time I wanted to buy some good houses for my dogs. They sleep outside in the yard and the ones they had at least 10 years ago were no longer in very good condition. So I busied myself searching online for a few that were within my budget and I found these. They are beautiful and of good quality ❤️.
Hace tiempo quería comprarles unas buenas casas a mis perros. Ellos duermen afuera en el patio y las que tenían hace por lo menos 10 años ya no estaban en muy buenas condiciones. Entonces me ocupé de buscar en línea algunas que estuvieran dentro de mi presupuesto y encontré estas. Son preciosas y de buena calidad ❤️.
I bought two: one for each of my adult dogs. I have a smaller dog but she is the privileged one that sleeps inside my house 😅. Each of these houses cost me 4800 ARS. This equates to about 30 USD. There were other cheaper but the roof was not made of sheet metal or it was made of plastic. These seemed prettier to me and I hope they last longer 😂.
Compré dos: una para cada uno de mis perros adultos. Tengo una perrita más chiquita pero ella es la privilegiada que duerme adentro de mi casa 😅. Cada una de estas casitas me costó 4800 ARS. Esto equivale a unos 30 dólares. Habían más económicas pero el techo no era de chapa o sino eran de plástico. Estas me parecieron más lindas y espero que sean más duraderas 😂.
The only "bad" thing is that this wood came painted but not varnished, therefore I had to take care of buying varnish and painting them. This can and brush cost me ARS 1000 (aprox $6.25). So far spending more than 10k ARS on my dear dogs, I hope they know that I love them very much 😂.
Lo único "malo" es que esta madera vino pintada pero no barnizada, por lo tanto tuve que ocuparme de comprar barniz y pintarlas. Esta lata y el pincel me costó 1000 ARS (aprox 6.25 dólares). Hasta ahora un gasto de más de 10k ARS en mis queridos perros, espero que sepan que los quiero mucho 😂.
When I painted the first house I did it with all my love: I like to paint and I took my time to cover each space well. Meanwhile I was listening to some music and luckily that day it was sunny, so everything was going well.
Cuando pinté la primera casita lo hice con todo mi amor: me gusta pintar y me tomé mi tiempo en cubrir bien cada espacio. Mientras tanto escuchaba algo de música y por suerte ese día había sol, así que todo marchaba bien.
The problem was when I had to paint the inside of the house: a little confined and uncomfortable space but I did it anyway. Now I understand why the manufacturers didn't bother to do that. This is how I looked from the outside 😂.
El problema fue cuando tuve que pintar el interior de la casita: un espacio un poco reducido e incómodo pero de todos modos lo hice. Ahora entiendo por qué los fabricantes no se tomaron el trabajo de hacer eso. Así lucía yo desde afuera 😂.
By the time I finished painting this little house I was already very tired, so I painted the second one a little faster. I ended up full of varnish and my hair hardened because being inside the house made me dirty a lot, but it was all worth it so that they have a good place to sleep ❤️.
Para cuando terminé de pintar esta casita estaba muy cansada ya, así que la segunda la pinté un poco más rápido. Terminé llena de barniz y con el pelo endurecido porque estar adentro de la casita me ensució un montón, pero todo valió la pena para que ellos tengan un buen lugar donde dormir ❤️.
I really liked doing this: I like to do things by myself because it makes me proud to give myself the credit 😂. As for the mystery project that I was doing this weekend, I look forward to seeing you tomorrow for the reveal in the Needle Work Monday community. Hacer esto me gustó mucho: me gusta hacer cosas por mi misma porque me hace sentir orgullosa otorgarme el mérito 😂. En cuanto al proyecto misterioso que estuve haciendo este fin de semana, los espero mañana para la revelación en la comunidad Needle Work Monday. Hay muchas artistas de la aguja participando del concurso que de seguro harán proyectos increíbles. ¡Estan todos invitados a pasar y ver nuestras creaciones ❤️!
