Have you ever been in a place where you fell in love to the point you wanted to RE-VISIT it again? It's been a year since I and my officemates last went to a beach resort for a summer escapade. Some of you know I grew up on an island, and white beaches are usual. However, this place met my expectations and even surpassed them! Who wouldn't love Zambales?
Photos captured somewhere in Zambales
We are all working Monday to Friday, so we leave Manila on Saturday around one in the morning. It was 5-6 hours of travel, depending on the traffic.
Anawangin Cove
It is a perfect place to relax, enjoy watching the sunrise and sunset, swim at the beach simultaneously, and trekking. Simple offers a complete adventure either in the water or at the campsite. It was stuck behind the mountains, and you needed to ride a motorized boat to go there. You can have peace of mind as you reconnect with nature without electricity, no signal.
We waited thirty minutes for our service boat to fetch us. That was enough opportunity to take some pictures. However, I was not yet on Hive at that time, so more on save photos shows my face, lol. Aside from this, you can see the seashore and hilly side.
As we boarded, the first stop was an Island hopping at Capone's. Here, you can enjoy the white beach with crystal water. Fill your lungs with the salty sea breeze, let the sun kiss your skin, and play with the waves.
The rock formation, where I hid for a moment as I changed into swimwear.
The weather was perfect, but the waves weren't. The sea current was so strong that going deeper wasn't advisable unless you're a good swimmer!
I was dragged, again and again, that I wasn't able to pose the way I wanted. Yet, still loving the outcome, sometimes unprepared moments are the best! You snap genuine smiles.
From there, we again rode back to the boat, which brought us to the campsite. You have a choice: rent a cabin or stay in the tent. Staying at the latter doesn't bother me, but the shared comfort rooms are 😂
A summary of activities.
Our travel coordinator gave us a tent and utensils for cooking to include what we had paid. Yet, it was us who set up and did everything. All of us were first-timers; it was like team building! Partners to whom we are sharing.
When we were all settled, we grabbed our essential belongings and wandered.
Want to release stress? You are free to do so here!
After that, you may want some trekking. It's not that hardcore but ideal for beginners, young oldies, and even kids as long as with adult supervision.
With man-made trails secured with handrails.. I glanced below in the middle of climbing up, and here is the view.
Trees shade the campsite; it's a family of Pine trees. Added the colorful tents and hilly mountains.
I haven't reached the peak yet, but I am already amazed at the scenic view in 360 degrees!
So I walk faster excitedly! Glad my knees are strong!😁
I couldn't help but to strike a pose!
But then, I don't feel contented where I am standing. I got that urge to get down near the cliffy side as the view seemed to look more breathtaking. My companions don't want to, as they are afraid. Luckily enough, there is one in the group who is as adventurous as me. Despite them reprimanding us!
That's us! It may look dangerous for others, but nope. We are still standing at the safe portion.
Once tired or if it was too hot enough to wander, there was a shaded shed where everyone could rest.
There, my officemates are resting. What about me? I'm still walking, checking whatever catches my attention.
I seldom go out or travel with friends, specifically this far, so I don't want to waste time sitting in a corner. Not that I am tired, but I can rest later.
I was about to walk back to where they were but saw the I love Destinare signage. I got interested if I am still that flexible to climb up one of the letters and shout at them.
Hey, can anyone take me a photo? However, one of them liked my idea, too, and here it is.
Lol, I sit down as my knees are shaking!
I've been to several beaches, but this one I love the most, and I badly want to visit again. Perhaps on the next vacation, my husband.
What about you? Do you have in mind a particular place you want to re-visit?
