Greetings friends of Hive. It is the first time I write in this community; I have always had the desire to do so thanks to the recommendation that made me @germanandradeg and I am excited that it is for something so special last weekend my husband and I, we accepted an invitation from my sister-in-law; ie my husband's sister, to share with the family a barbecue. It is worth mentioning that the Suarez family had not been together for more than 7 years. My husband tells me that every time it was an impromptu trip and alcoholic beverages were the main ingredient. With much simplicity, sense of humor and above all affection on Friday we shared drinks with the cousins; in their cozy home which they call the house of "The Flintstones'' because everything is made of concrete beds, shelves, with colorful colors. Very pleasantly they offered us breakfast but we had already had it at my sister-in-law's apartment. My husband was able to catch up with the latest news, both happy and sad; we enjoyed a nice lunch between drinks.</div

In the afternoon, we went for a walk to the tourist viewpoint of the city of Barquisimeto, where you can observe an urban but peaceful atmosphere. In front of it is the so-called Bolivar square, located in Santa Rosa, in front of it: the church of Santa Rosa, which was closed for the hour.

Inevitably we took pictures of the places to remember those special moments.</div

Then my sister-in-law and her husband invited us to eat pepitos in a very beautiful place called "Pepiteria 13" when we heard about pepitos we imagined something much simpler but the place is located in the Jirahara hotel, former Hilton hotel where a spectacular view is the first thing you perceive when you arrive and here I took a selfie where the background is the avenue of La Ribereña where the night makes you go crazy with its beautiful lights.

On Saturday morning, my sister-in-law's husband made us a spectacular Creole breakfast and gave us a tour of the industrial area of Barquisimeto, where he travels daily to work in his family business. Unfortunately, this tour was not at all encouraging since the desolation invades the site, large companies that were expropriated by the government were left without production. </div

After this we visited the famous monument to La Divina Pastora also called the mantle of Mary where you can see a spectacular view with a 360 degree view of the city of Barquisimeto is the second largest religious monument in Latin America. After the walk we headed to the avenue 30 with 33 where we were expected to share the long-awaited barbecue with the cousins, which I was fortunate to meet personally and since some only had contact virtually.</div

With few ingredients to season the grill, I was impressed by its flavor since the special seasoning of cousin Carlos, consisting of coarse salt and dry spices, gave it a unique touch.</div

In the afternoon we said goodbye to the cousins since we had made a commitment with my sister-in-law to go for a walk with them on Sunday; and when Sunday arrived we went out to have a delicious breakfast at the best bakery in town called Alianza, this was said by them and it was really true since we ate ham with very fresh bread.</div
After breakfast we began the journey to the Lomas de Cubiro a long stretch that at first is flat then goes up but before going up a mandatory stop is made in Quibor, where you can enjoy beautiful handicrafts and it is almost mandatory to buy something and support this beautiful work. On the way the panorama is increasing in its beauty and lowering the temperature until you reach the most pleasant coolness of the Lomas where nature and peace envelop you so that you do not want to leave there ever. </div

As my stomach couldn't resist again the curves and descents I suggested to have lunch once we arrived to Barquisimeto so they recommended us a beautiful place called El Mundo de Pedro y Pablo with a rodizio style restaurant, where you can pay a fixed rate to taste all their meats and salads; with ample swimming pool facilities and in every corner there is a space to take a picture for the memory. After eating to exhaustion you could not miss visiting the most characteristic monument of the city, the great obelisk, which was built in 1952.</div

I share with you some of the ones I liked the most. We will always remember this wonderful trip with much love because seeing and knowing all those beautiful places was a great experience that we thank God and our families for opening the doors for us. </div
