A man who does not feed on his dreams grows old quickly.
William Shakespeare.
I have always lived in cities. Most of my life, in the western part of the country. I am currently located in the central part of the national territory but not in the state capital. State capitals have always been much more numerous in population. Their pace of life is much more hectic. That is why I have never envied this lifestyle. I think that's what you are born for and if by chance you find yourself in a capital city and you don't adapt, you will look for the means to move.
I have always stressed that I love where I live now. It is a mountainous region where you are surrounded by nature. With an average annual temperature of 25° C, not bad for a tropical country, but it is a city after all.
The times that I have had to travel by road I go crazy observing the rural landscapes, I also stop to see the rest of those who travel with me and they are like nothing; I am the only crazy one who melts for these beautiful landscapes; and I can't help admiring life in the countryside.
Although most of them do not have the comforts that may be basic in the city; it is, at least in my opinion, having quality of life. The simple fact of inhaling pure air that is much cleaner, your whole organism, especially your lungs, will thank you for it.
As for work, I doubt that it is easier than for those who live in cities, but being surrounded by the most impressive scenery that not even the best artists could recreate is priceless.
Having the space to grow your own food is rewarding for the simple fact that you are being productive, not only for yourself but also being useful to others. Nature brings us peace, it connects us with our inner self.
Would you never leave your city? Are you like me: Are you also excited to be surrounded by nature? Or are you one of those who say: it's no big deal. It's always nice to hear the experience of others, let me know in your comments. Thanks for reading me.
The photos have been taken by me.
