Happy weekend everyone and welcome to my blog again.
When it comes to dressing, most especially on weekends, everyone dresses as it pleases them. You may find that some prefer to dress down or casually while others love dressing up but in all the idea is to look good and presentable.
So for the question of whether I prefer to dress up or down during the weekend, I will answer it in two ways, and it all depend on how the weekend will go - the activities mapped out because not all weekends are the same.
Personally I love to dress as simple as possible from my clothes, hair then to make up. I love simple wears because of how comfortable they make me feel and also because I do no like attracting attention to myself. So it won't be out of place to say that my preference goes more to dressing down during the weekend but sometimes when I have events like wedding, child dedication, birthday or any other event, I dress up a bit to suit the occasion.
Let's See Some Of My Dressing
Starting with Friday I appear in my company's uniform - a polo t-shirt and jean with sneakers or canvas.
But if I have a corporate event to attend then it I appear a bit formal.
On the Saturdays that I go to work or shopping, I appear all casual - jean and tops with sneakers or slippers or any other casual wear. Saturdays shouldn't be a day to look all kitted up and formal when you have the week days to do that. Although on some Saturdays I may have a function to attend, I still dress the way as to suit the occasion with a touch of simplicity.
Here in my city Sundays are specifically for events - wedding ceremonies, child dedication, club meetings, hang outs and the rest. There's no dull moment when it comes to Sunday in my city, every nook and corner will be buzzing with activities after church services.
Talking of church, I love to dress as one who is going to church since it's church and not some sort of party. I dress in between - not too dressed up or too dressed down, in beautiful native attires or sometimes English wears.

But for Sunday outings and events, my dressing will depend on the event I am to attend. If it is a wedding ceremony, it will really be out of place to appear in a casual attire when every other guests will be dressed up. So because of that, I will dress up a bit with a cloth that fits the color of the day.
At a wedding
In this part of the world, wedding ceremonies are a big deal, infact it is more or less like a fashion show and no guests will want to be left out as it is one of the avenues where guests, especially females show off their dresses, latest asoebi styles, accessories and hairs. The men aren't exempted as they show off the different styles of senator wears, and other trending styles too.
This doesn't mean that people no longer dress casually to weddings, some do but whoever does will have to accept whatever treatment they receive at the event. You may end up relinquishing your seat to a better dressed person, that is if you were even seated in the first place. And when food and drinks are served, you stand a chance of not being served - meaning you will miss eating the party jellof rice, which is usually very painful.
So since I do not want to experience these things, I will try to touché up but still maintaining a level of simplicity.
So in all although I love to dress down on weekends but when occasion demands for a bit dress up, I go for it without but in a simple way.
Thank you for reading.
