Once the time on the clock ticks at quarter to 9, everyone else in our home gathers together in our simple and small living room with all our eyes focused on the television. This is because our all-time favorite magazine show will air on TV, and this show is none other than Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (KMJS).
Our television if you may have noticed is already old, but it's okay. What is important is we have one and that we can still use it.
The first thing that was featured tonight was the cute hedgehogs, which are not just cute but also stress relievers. It made me smile, and I am somewhat feeling the urge to have a pet like it soon. Just right after the face of Jose Mari Chan appeared on TV, I just found myself singing one of his songs, which is "Christmas in our Herts." It is one thing that really makes me proud as a Filipino because of the kind of culture and tradition we have. It's just the beginning of September, yet the spirit of Christmas can already be felt. Thanks to shows like KMJS, it somehow makes that feeling grow.
Furthermore, it is undeniable that no matter how tired you are during the day, it will somehow subside after seeing your family, or your pet, or just by doing an activity like this with your family, laughing together when the show portrays comedy, crying when the story feels heavy and sad, or feeling inspired when the show is relatable and something where we can draw inspiration from it.
As the show ends, there is one thing that made me really happy. Not only does it make our Sunday night fun and educational, it also keeps us closer together. A simple activity that definitely brings joy to the heart and a feeling of contentment. My night is already complete with this alone. It even gives me a bit of an extra positive vibe that I can carry the next day, which boosts my energy to start the new week.
