Today, I feel like a happy and excited kid who turned 30 :P. As I reflect back on my life till now, I am happy that I got a chance to spend and live these 30 years on this beautiful earth. It takes me a moment to process that it has been 3 decades… damn!! I won’t say that I have achieved a lot of material things in my life, or that I have some luxurious desires like owning a big house, a big car, or all those material stuffs. But I have achieved a sense of satisfaction in life.
I know that for many people, a successful life is more important than a satisfied life. In fact, people keep on poking me for not doing more in life. But I feel… if that so-called “push” takes my peace away, why should I? I believe that growing from within is more than living a professional life. This is because greed has no ending, nor does growth in the professional field. But the growth in self will help you throughout your life and may be… in the afterlife too.
Self-growth and development helps a lot more than we acknowledge it. It helps in our day-to-day life and in every field or relation of life. This is the only reason I say, “My life is sorted”. After all, I am working as I used to and focusing more on self-growth and development and spirituality.
I feel we are blessed to have this life. So, we should know more about “What Is this life” and that is possible through spirituality. If we are not grounded and don’t believe in the higher self, how will we even know ourselves?
Shifting my focus from a material lifestyle to a spiritual one has been the best shift of my life till date. And this is the thing that I want to continue forever in my life if possible. So, today, on my 30th birthday, I decided to go and visit an orphanage and celebrate with the kids. So far, this was the best birthday ever. I was happy seeing all the kids happy and full of joy. The innocence in their eyes and those smiles on their faces are enough to make anyone’s day better.
I’m sharing some photos of today from the orphanage. I don’t have many photos nor are they great photos :-p
