I was lying in my bed when a question popped my head. Today is Sunday, what should I do? I then realized that after a very exhausting and stressful weekdays, I deserve to take some rest. A rest where I am surrounded by peace, serenity, and the nostalgic sound of waves that can motivate me to do more. Yes, I am talking about beach rest of course! How can I resist when someone like me is a beacholic, person? Ladies and friends, buckle your seatbelt because I will take you to Anapog Public Beach, San Remigio Cebu. A place that will allow you to enjoy, have fun, forget your worries, and heal your mind in no doubt.
Anapog, San Remigio, Cebu is 17 kilometers away from our residence, and together with my family, we had to travel for at least 30 minutes to get there. It is quite far, so obviously we have to pass by some aesthetic vivid views.
On our way, I can't help to appreciate the beauty of nature. People who live in rural areas are very lucky because we can breathe fresh air, enjoy the view for free, and we can even pick fresh vegetables and fruits. It clearly shows that there is always beauty in green. It will provide you peace and tranquility. You can seek comfort anytime and, the good thing is that it can be found everywhere around you. It is very convenient on our part. It is my heartfelt gratitude to see these aesthetic and astonishing surroundings. Truly blessed by Him.
Moments of passing by those enjoyable scenes, we finally arrived at our destination. We took off the things needed such as our food and all other necessary things and take it all the way to beach.
After walking for about 3 minutes from the highway, we finally arrived at this undeniably gorgeous beach. Our eyes were literally happy because from green vivid grass, this blue sandy water with its harmonious waves is presenting its beauty as if it is calling us. In addition, there are trees beside that made us enjoy the touch of air making the ambiance very chill.
The first thing we did was clearing the area since we saw many nature's dirt. We also realized that we could use the place for something good such as an area to grill. As seen in the picture, my co-wanderers are enjoying the things they were doing.
After cleaning, we started to grill some hotdogs and fish. We also cooked something at home so that it won't consume much time cooking here. After grilling, we started eating. It is just a simple food but the happiness in our hearts is very expensive to buy.
Now, let us talk about how clear the water is. It is very evident in the photo that this beach in Anapog has very crystalic and clean water. Seeing that kind of seawater will allow you to admire, appreciate, and fall in love with beaches. The blue sea water is giving us a peaceful aura allowing the tourists to think clearly and despatch negativity that is living in our mind. You may see nature's dirt in the seashore, but that is less to worry. That is not a plastic that can ruin the environment and living marine animals.
Moments later, I roamed around the seashore enjoying the roughness of the sand and the softness of water. And guess what I met unexpectedly. What a cute and friendly dog having a good day catching a bath in the water. 🥲 I can't deny that the dog is very adorable and he's having fun. What a nice scene indeed.
I remember when I was a kid, we seldom went to the beach because we lived in the province area and the beach was not convenient for us. There, I can reflect on my nephew who is enjoying the sand and water unbothered by the hotness of the sun. I wish to become a kid again. Those moments where I don't have any problem and merely enjoy every moment of my days. Well, this is life we have to grow big and be mature enough to face the challenges of life. I am honored to gathered some unforgettable childhood days because it shaped me into who I am today.
After eating, together with my family, we savored the day and had fun swimming. We enjoyed it so much and I feel how connected we are. There is a great bond within our family. Sometimes, the beach is the way to open up your feelings to your loved ones, laugh out with your friends, and forget all your burdens.
Later the day, we decided to head back home since we were all fed up swimming. Most of us got sunburned because it was really hot and the sunscreen we were using was not enough. Because of enjoyment, we spent most of the time in the water and we did not notice the fire of the sun. But there is no regret in doing it. The waves of laughter we had are priceless. Anyway, without a doubt, we had fun.
As we were riding our truck from the beach to home, we saw this uncommon thing. This is called Bayanihan a Filipino culture where men will help each other to transfer the house to another place. This was practiced during the year 80's to 90's but as we are living in a modernized world, it has been forgotten.
I was amazed because growing up, it was very uncommon to me. I only know this thing because it is indicated in our elementary book and is also taught to us in our Values subject. It is proof that Filipinos have good and big hearts and that no matter how old the thing is, it won't be gone. I can't stop myself from putting it here because I am so proud that the Filipino culture is unique and we show love and care to our beloved Filipino brothers and sisters.
Then, we arrived home having a tired body but with a healthy mind and a happy soul. I realized that you can always seek comfort on beaches. Any beach will do as long as we are together with our loved ones and closest friends. What we need is a company that accepts you for who you are, contented, and simply those who can catch vibes with you. This memorable day allowed us to arrive home happily and cheerfully. 'Till my next time beach journey Hivers!
