Last April 22 - 23, we were in Negros Oriental, my home province, to witness the Second anniversary of my sister's Yoga studio in Dumaguete City. The event was last April 22, a Saturday. You might want to read about it here.
While we were there, we took time to visit my siblings and their family's and my dad. It is not often that we can come visit because we live in Cebu City, which is more than hundred kilometers away and in another island.
The following day after the celebration, my family and I decided to visit my mother's grave. _She died due to a cardiac arrest on the New Year's day of 2003. It was a devastating incident for our family._ Twenty years have passed and a lot of things have happened since then.
Before heading to the memorial park, we dropped by our old house where my youngest brother lived with his family. Dropped off some stuff (food) and told them that we are heading to visit our mom's grave and we will wait for them there. It was almost sunset when we arrived in the place.

Missing her. She died without seeing even one of her grandchildren.

With us in the picture is my sister and her son. I took a groupie and sent it to your family group chat.
While we were there I noticed the skies and the cloud formations. And so while having a chit chat with my sister and husband, I snapped some photos of the clouds.

After few minutes of waiting, our brother arrived with his wife and children. The kids were having fun playing .They seldom see each other so they were also making most of the time together. It is great to see them get along and children's laughter was all around.

Our eldest brother with his wife also arrived. It was a joyful reunion. I am sure our mother was happy watching over us. We talked about so many things. Updates and all. But I forgot to take a group picture with our eldest brother and our sister-in-law. But it's okay, the important thing was that we were able to spend time together.
It was almost dark when we left the memorial park. The name of the park by the way is Tanjay Serenity Garden Memorial Park.

I took another few snaps on the sunset. I love sunrise and sunsets. Watching the sun rise and sets gives me the assurance that whatever our struggles in life, there is always hope that things will get better in the days to come.
When we left the place, we headed to our eldest brother's home for dinner! Yes dinner! We filled our hunger belly's with home cooked food. The day ended with us eating together as one big family.
Spending time with my loved ones is one of the things I loved to do.
Thank you for reading! What did you do last weekend?
xoxo,
Met
