Weekend-Engagement: WEEK 178
Happy weekend, everyone! It's Sunday morning here in Malaysia. Last Friday, the weekend experience team released their latest topic for our discussion.
This means it's time for another challenge from . I'm not sure if this week's topic related with my current situation, but I'll let you all be the judge of that. So, below is the topic I chose to write about.
Sleeping in lateโdo you do it on the weekend? Explain why, or why not, in a post, and remember to use your own photos.
As I work now for an international company, my schedule for sleeping late on weekends is not fixed. I have the freedom to complete my work at any time that suits me.
However, for now I have to complete 50 tasks per day, of which I must submit my work before midnight.
Therefore, I have the option to sleep late on the weekends, but to be honest, I tend to sleep late every night, not just on the weekends. ๐
Recently, my sleep schedule has been disrupted by the news of the conflict between Israel and Palestine.
I find myself reading and watching more news on Twitter and becoming emotionally invested in the situation, particularly in the suffering of the children who have lost their parents in the attacks.
While I know it's best not to let the news consume me, it's difficult to stop thinking about the impact of the conflict.
Despite my busy schedule, I typically get only 4 to 5 hours of sleep per day. I know I should realise the importance of me just taking time to relax and unwind, and I look forward to having a full day to myself where I can disconnect myself from my mobile phone and laptop.
As I'm getting older, I've noticed that I require less sleep than I used to. While before this, I used to need 8 hours of sleep due to my previous job, I find that sleeping more than 5 hours now makes me feel more tired. I'm not sure if this is a common thing for people my age or if it's just me.
I know I should get enough rest and sleep to avoid the stress because I know what it feels like to be in a state of depression. While sleeping late on weekends may not be possible for everyone, I believe it's important to find a balance between rest and work.
Just my two cents about this topic: the decision to sleep late or not is a personal one, and it depends on each person's circumstances and priorities. ๐ค And me, on the other hand have always sleeps late not only during the weekend but almost everyday. ๐
