Weekend-Engagement topics: WEEK 183
Hello everybody,
I'm back with my thoughts for this week and as usual, the topics for the Weekend-Engagement are always interesting. I am very interested in all three topics given by , but I only need to choose one topic to write about. Therefore, this is my choice.
You're writing your online dating profile this weekend. What are the three most important points you'd add and why? Remember to use your own photos.
I admit that I used to be on Tinder when I was single. During that time, my intention was just to try out the dating application. And I even went out and met a few of the men through online dating.
But there's few things that I will set up straight for them to understand. If I am really looking for a genuine man through this application, most probably my chances will be 20% and the rest of 80% of them would be just to fling around.
So, If I created my online dating profile, I would highlight the most important points that will make me stand out and for them to understand my intention. Well, here are three important things that I would add to my online dating profile:
Firstly, since I'm a single mother, it's important for me to be upfront and honest about my status. As a matter of fact I'm proud to be a single mother. At the same time, by mentioning that I have kids, it can help avoid any misunderstandings later on.
I don't want to pretend that I'm single with no kids. Some men don't like to date a single mother and some just don't mind. It's important because who knows, a potential man needs to know that I have children if the relationship becomes serious.
Being honest about my status situation can help me attract someone who is interested in building a meaningful relationship not just with me but also with my children.
Secondly, it's important for me to state my real intentions in my online dating profile. I'm looking for a genuine connection and a serious relationship because I'm too old to play around.
I just have to make that clear in my profile for them to understand. This way, I can avoid attracting people who are only interested in casual flings or hookups.
I'm being clear about it so that it can help me find someone who is looking for the same kind of relationship as I am.
Lastly, I need to mention clearly that my only interest is hearing from a legitimately honest person. I know that there are many people out there who create fake online dating profiles in order to scam others.
In order not to fall into these scams, I had to make sure that I won't entertain those who are making me question their motives to be on an online dating application.
I have to mention in my profile that I'm not up to meet a scammer. Sometimes being straight to the point can help me avoid people who are going to waste my time. Especially those people who are not serious about finding a real connection.
Finding a man through online dating might be a scary experience and we need to be careful. For me, creating an online dating profile can be a daunting task. But somehow that was an experience I had in the past. I never thought of making one at the present moment but maybe I will one day. Naa, just kidding. ðŸ¤
That's all for now, dear readers. I hope you will get an idea about what to write on your online dating profile. If you are interested in joining this week's challenge, here is the link. Thank you for reading and may you have a wonderful weekend.
