My Favorite Celebration Of The Year

I've had so many celebrations and I've enjoyed every one of them. I can still remember most of them very well and even narrate their stories but one of my favorite celebration every year is my birthday which I can narrate even better to you.

Given the chance to see a new age is a joy that adds so much excitement for me. The fact that I'm so conscious of growing old makes me so happy and I want to celebrate whenever that day of the year comes.

Why I Enjoy Birthday Celebrations?

Celebrating birthday here in Nigeria is a lot different from how other countries celebrate theirs but it's so much fun and memorable. My most memorable birthday celebration was the one of this year - July 24th, A Saturday!!!

Birthdays remind me better that I'm growing up and getting older, that I have to keep focus to my goals and plans in making my growth more beautiful than it was.

I've had beautiful birthday celebrations before now but this year's birthday was way too exciting and lovely to not write about it once again, it's my favorite birthday celebration for the records... Maybe the next would be way better.

How I Prepare For My Birthday Celebrations?

This year's celebration preparation started about five days to my birthday. I got a new hair, bought new gowns and had a make over for photo shots which I wanted to share to whoever wanted to wish me a happy birthday on their WhatsApp status or somewhere.

I didn't really plan much for my birthday but the turn out of how the celebration came about took me by surprise really. I only planned to take myself out on my birthday and write a post about it on Hive but it went way too different from what I planned.

So you could say I didn't prepare a birthday celebration but...

Here Are What Were Involved In My Birthday Celebration

I woke up early to so many wishes and prayers from my loved ones, some sang beautifully to me while some sent some additions to my bank account... My birthday morning went so well and amazing for me.

Then I came out of my room to get prepared for maybe a self take-out and I was blessed by my neighbors with cold water as they wished me a happy birthday. The pouring of water on the celebrant is like a ritual here in Nigeria.

I was preparing to go out when I got so many surprise packages including a beautiful cake with my favorite color (Blue). And I also got nice picture frames of myself from my friends. I was so happy and I thought of that day as perfect and didn't think there was more.

A delicious spicy meat sauce was prepared which I shared among my friends and neighbors with drinks and cake. It was like I planned a birthday party but they were all a surprise party for me and so memorable.

I got to go out later that day, I was taken to a pizza spot where I ate a very delicious pizza with my favorite drink.

My birthday celebration is my favorite part of the year and the celebration pattern may differ depending on the plans that are made by the celebrant or by the celebrant's loved ones.
