Travelling seems to be one of my favorites. I'm always fascinated by the exquisite sceneries and views of the different places wherever my shoes take me.
This time, I'm excited to share with you the beauty of one of the most extraordinary places you want to go to in Bogo City, CAPITANCILLO ISLET. This trip happened two years ago when we celebrated Teachers' Day. By the way, my husband is also a teacher in the Elementary Department. It was an unplanned trip because we planned to go to Daanbantayan, Cebu, Philippines the celebration.
BRIEF HISTORY
It is said from various people that a long time CAPITANCILLO was a ship that sank in the middle of the deep ocean but didn't sink totally, leaving its uppermost surface above the water.
From then on has become a tourist destination. The place was in so much development because foreign people enjoyed diving. They wanted to see how it looks like below. We're happy watching a lot of people diving into that deep ocean when we're there.
, it is a must-try. It's a place underwater.
WHAT TO PREPARE?
Aside from your swimming outfits and extra clothes, you must bring food and water because there's no store in there. If you want to cook, you should as well prepare cooking materials. Only the caretaker lives in that place. There are also cottages for free plus the entrance fee is just so cheap.
HOW TO GET THERE?
To reach the destination, you have to ride a pump boat for an hour. We started our trip by riding a pump boat from Tabogon pier. Luckily, my colleague owned it. So, it's free! Yay! 😂 But if you're farther than my hometown, you may reach there for more than an hour. We overjoyed the ecstatic place that we'd never been before like this islet. We talked about our imagination of what it looks like and how big it is. We had so much fun watching the dolphins happily hopping themselves into the ocean and loudly whistling as a sign of welcoming us to their beautiful place.
FINALLY.....
When we arrived at the place, the weather was fine as we expected from the day we decided to
to visit there.
We're so overwhelmed by the calmness of the place. Like, it's unbelievable that you're able to go to an islet in the middle of an ocean. The only islet in that ocean. 😯 There's peace and serenity.
LUNCH TIME
Before we left the pier, we brought fresh fish and cooking materials because we planned to cook near the sea. We even bought cooked food such as chicken, rice, and other snacks. After eating, we started to explore the place.
We strolled the whole place and took pictures of it. We made sure we seized the moment because, in me, memories will never fade. We don't know when we'll be going back there.
The happiest part was when we excitedly swam into the water. We even did jumping from the cliff to the water. Even one of my colleagues enjoyed that much, without even knowing she's already pregnant. She just told us about her pregnancy a few days after we visited there. You can also try snorkeling.
PARTING TIME
Before going home, we bid goodbye to the caretaker. Of course, strike a pose and keep all the things we brought from there, then leave. While we sailed away, we talked about how amazing the place is, how was it possible the ship didn't sink? Who survived during the tragedy? It's also good to sail with a bigger boat if you plan to travel with a group.
REFLECTION
Every great memory remains from the depth of your heart. Spending money to travel doesn't matter that much because you know it's all worth it. It is a kind of therapy whenever you feel bombarded with a lot of work in the office or any establishment you're working. You can even share your travel diaries with your child or children in the future. By doing so, you will be able to let them appreciate how wonderful God's creations are.
Sailing is an adventurous activity that I wanted to do since I haven't tried it again for a long time. And going to an islet was my first time and not the last.
If you have any place to recommend from the North, please comment below. I'm planning to surprise my husband for our upcoming anniversary.
