This week's topic(s)
"Tell us about one of your most favoured, enjoyable, beautiful or idyllic moments spent in nature - Where and when was it, what did you do there. Your garden, the woods, the seaside, tropical paradise or desert, a park in the city or the wide open plains; anywhere counts as long as it was a moment spent with nature."
Life gives us experience, experience gives us lessons, and lessons will lead us to success. Maybe it's a few simple sentences that I always use as a handle in life. Talking about the experience and the theme I chose, of course this experience is about weekends, fun and travel.
I am a young man aged 27 years, and I got married a few months ago, to be exact July 23, 2021. My wife is young, she is 21 years old. And today we have been married for four months and twelve days. At a relatively young age of marriage, you have been blessed with the sustenance of a child who is about two months pregnant, please pray for him and my wife to always be healthy.
Well, because our marriage was in the middle of a pandemic, we couldn't do a regional family honeymoon. We had to enjoy it gracefully. After a few months later, our province, Aceh Indonesia, has lifted the ban on travel outside the region, meaning that the corona issue has started to disappear and the situation is starting to improve. To make up for the failed honeymoon schedule, my wife asked me to take her for a walk. I agreed to the request because I remembered that he had never been to the place in question.
On August 28, my wife and I started our journey to the city of Cold, Takengon, Central Aceh. My wife has never been there in her life. For those of you, it might be familiar if you hear the word Takengon in almost every Acehnese post, right? Yes, of course, because Takengon is indeed the best holiday destination in Aceh after Sabang Island. Our main goal is "Buntu Rintis". This is a tourist spot with natural mountain rides to Patan Trong. Its height is probably about 2500 meters above sea level. If from the city of Takengon, maybe the height of this place can reach 500 meters from the highway.
We got there in the late afternoon, the weather was already cloudy, but we didn't care, because this was a vacation, not deer hunting, which had to be in a hurry. Because the place is very high, my wife was forced to get off in the middle of the road because our old motorbike couldn't climb if we were riding a bicycle. While pushing the motorbike together, we laughed out loud, people looked at us, but we didn't care, the important thing was that we were happy. Luckily at that time my wife was not pregnant, otherwise it could be very dangerous for the health of the fetus.
The atmosphere above this peak is quite cold, maybe around 5°c. We have to wear thick jackets. Here we enjoy very good coffee, because the coffee sold here is indeed the original coffee of that place. Of course, because Takengon is also known as the coffee city of Aceh. The warmth of the coffee becomes even more delicious when combined with some sweet potato fries and tomato sauce.
After eating the fries all the way through, my wife asked to be photographed. He said, this is the first time here, we have to capture the moment. Of course I agree, because although I often go to Takengon, this is also my first time to Buntul Rintis. There is a photo booth provided with nets and supported by iron poles. The goal is that when we take pictures it will be seen floating above the sonorous that hangs above the ravine. My wife is quite timid, so I have to hold her so I can sit posing on the net. Here you can also see views of the city and Lake Lut Tawar. It looks very beautiful and like a painting. Unfortunately, when we took pictures when the weather was cloudy, as well as the influence of my old smartphone, it would produce a discolored picture. lol.
After we were ready to take photos, we didn't linger there, because we were going to a European-style coffee on the edge of the lake. After paying for everything, we immediately stepped on the gas to the coffee. However, it seems that for the beauty of the lake and our excitement at the very beautiful coffee, I will tell you about it in my next post.
Here are some photos of the place as a sample for all of you.
"Don't forget to follow our weekend fun!"
