Hidden at the end of a rough road, on the banks of the Alafia River in Riverview FL, is one of my favorite haunts anywhere.
The Beer Shed is "old Florida" at it's best.
A heavy dose of Allman Brothers and deep cuts of southern rock flow from the jukebox. The rustic interior is full of character, and the locals are friendly as long as you don't sit on "their" usual daily barstool (good story how I found that out.)
The curb outside is lined with motorcycles, and the waterside, with boats. Some nights feature karaoke or live bands. I love it best when it's just the night birds, frogs, crickets, and a bucket of ice cold brews. It's hot as hell in the summer, the mosquitoes are murder, and watch out for the occasional snakes and impressive spiders from the angel oaks...but I wouldn't change a thing. 11222 Casa Loma Dr, Riverview FL.
