So, it all started on Saturday morning, as usual, I sleep until a little later at 8:30 am.
I decided I wanted to have something sweet to start the day and I found a combination that always works, cookies and coffee. The coffee can (and usually does) vary but the cookies always have to be the same and they are "butter cookies".
The morning didn't seem to be in my favour, since when I was ready to go out to meet my writing friends it was raining as if there was no tomorrow.
There was no way for me to leave the house and arrive in time to be productive or share a coffee with my fellow writers. So there's nothing left but to stay at home and wait for the rain to pass.
But, as always after the rain a rainbow.
This rainbow came in the form of a farewell lunch from a great friend, who has decided to continue her way around the world and visit other lands.
And since we are the queens of caffeine, another coffee to accompany the laughter and anecdotes of these months of friendship, and make plans for the next time we meet.
The last sunset on this island of gods is mandatory for all those who leave the beach and coconut water days behind. Obviously: photos, more anecdotes and a lot of laughs come with the sunset.
A bittersweet feeling comes with every goodbye: you are happy because your friends will continue in search of exciting adventures, explore new lands and tell you incredible stories.
But, at the same time, you will miss them every time you go to a cafe, to eat at a new place or just when you need a chat to untangle the web of ideas that you have in your head and they won't let you sleep.
I would say that also, a little envious of not going with them and exploring those places and live new adventures.
But, thanks to technology you will follow those adventures very closely by watching each story and liking each photo.
Until the next time, when we meet again, I will wait for you sitting by the sunset.
