Sean Paul - Get Busy in Bali - Give Me The Light -
I’m still floating — still high on happiness from this weekend — and honestly, I can’t believe what just happened. I saw Sean Paul live… in Bali!
Never in my wildest teenage dreams did I imagine that. Fifteen-year-old me — the girl who used to dance in her room, watching Sean Paul’s music videos on MTV back in Venezuela, trying to figure out what kind of English he was even speaking — she’s absolutely ecstatic right now. My inner teen is alive, screaming, and dancing.
The whole thing happened by pure chance. My friend works in hotel management, and while chatting this week, I asked, “What are you doing this weekend?” She said she was going to Sean Paul’s concert. I told her I’d seen the advertising posters and some videos on social media, but I didn’t even check the details — I assumed the tickets would be crazy expensive. Then she told me their marketing team had a few passes… and she could give me one.
So this Saturday night (October 11th, 2025), I found myself surrounded by thousands of people, lights flashing, music shaking the air — and there he was: Sean Paul, right in front of me. In Bali. I still can’t process it. I didn’t pay a cent, yet I got one of the most surreal nights of my life.
It may sound silly, but seeing him live touched something deep inside me — that nostalgic part that remembers who I was, who I’ve become, and how far I’ve come. It felt like my teenage self and my present self danced together for a night.
Now it’s Sunday afternoon, I’m back home, still smiling. Sometimes, life gives you these unexpected gifts that remind you: even the dreams you forgot can find their way back to you — maybe on a Saturday night in Bali.
