"All truly great thoughts are conceived by walking.”
– Friedrich Nietzsche
The weather was still gloomy, and my emotions were shifting. I was ill on weekdays due to my vertigo attack. I rushed to the hospital for my check-up. I've done different laboratories as instructed by the doctor, good thing my lab results were okay.
...and I decided to take a weekend walk to unwind and distress myself.
The evergreen
To loosen up my mind and body from exhaustion, I used to walk with my child here in our province. The green scenery of the place will give me complete relaxation, and release away all my wearies.
As we trekked, I was having fun taking photos of nature's everlasting beauty. The calmness and the serenity in it remind me of my life's worth. Since it was raining throughout the week, the traces of intense rain was still visible. But as Filipinos, we are resilient to this kind of situation already.
On our way, we will be passing our public cemetery. We have seen different vehicles, which means there was a burial. It made me think profoundly for a while about the importance of being kind because we don't know what the future brings.
As we moved forward, I met our national animal the carabao. I can see in the distance that it was enjoying every munch that it had. I get closer to her and took a shot. I did it! This animal reminds me of being hard-working. Through its effort, many are benefited.
Life in the province is very simple, yet it is full of pleasure. This place is far from pollution, the chirping of the birds that can be heard around is relaxing to hear, and the breeze of the air is good for our bodies. There is inner peace with nature.
As we excitedly continued our walk, I sighted this slope. The intense rain we experienced for a week, made the land gradually separated. A little bit scary to look at.
On the other side of the area, I was able to capture this small pit, mud with water where the carabao will soak. This time, they were not here due to the coldness of the weather. I spotted them happily gnawing the grass.
We enjoyed our journey here, my child was having fun crossing the water flowing on the road that came from the higher part of the land. A simple joy that reminded me of when I was her age.
A fulfilling walk
We decided to go home after reaching our destination within 20 minutes. As we were heading our way home, I spotted this couple walking barefoot. The muddy road was slippery and they opted to do this because it would be easier for them to walk. They carried a sack of bananas that will be transported to the city for their consumption.
The means of transportation here is habal-habal (single motorcycle for hire, 2-3 passengers will sit closer to each other). This time, only their belongings were taken onboard.
The ancient resting place
We have seen this 50-year-old camachile tree with a small but. The tree used to be a resting place before and until now. It is so cool to be here. I can reminisce about those days when we used to get fruits from this tree. It tastes good and sweet.
We were astonished by this cute spider, making a web connecting to the highest leaves of the field. How amazing this little creature is. Another thought to ponder about life is that everything must go on despite the difficulties encountered. Never give up, same as the spider does.
As we moved on, we were amazed by this lad who was resting above the tree. What a beautiful feeling to be there. The captivating landscape of nature and the overlooking view made it more amazing.
We were a little bit tired of our walk, and we take a break for a while sitting on this bench made from bamboo. We gave the best pose for this shot.
The realization
Giving value to oneself is an important thing that we need to do. Have a break, take a walk when you are stressed, and bond with your child or your loved ones. A healthy mind, body, and soul are all that matter.
Thank you for your time dear Hivers and for reading my blog, until then, God bless.
