Certainly, travel is more than the seeing of sights; it is a change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the ideas of living.” – Miriam Beard
I need a little medication from nature to get rid of the anxiety that gradually ruined my emotions. Well then, I asked my travel buddy again RM (Rixie Mae) to go with me so I can detoxify myself from the toxicity that hit inside of me.
....off we went on a joyride and explore the mountainous area and hopped to some of the marvelous beaches of Tabogon frequently flocked by the local tourists. In this blog, I'm going to share the 5-hour adventurous outdoor activity that led us to the magnificent natural view of nature that offers relief and contentment to my well-being.
My Emotional Escape
The Journey
We got a wonderful day and the scorching heat of the sun cannot stop our eagerness to travel. We left home with excitement and full of determination to explore and reconnect with nature as this will be my best escape and the easiest way to forget momentarily the nagging problem that was interfering with my mind.
To be with nature is truly amazing and immersing in it can be healing. Since we are residing in the upper land of our municipality, we need to travel for about 45 minutes by motorcycle before reaching our planned beautiful spot to visit. And these are the famous Hanging Bridge, the wharf zone, and the Tagasa public beach resort of Tabogon.
We stopped at the side of this road with a deep ravine and were mesmerized by the overlooking view of the natural landscape. It served as an amazing background that is free for all passersby and motorcyclists. The green vegetation adds vibrance and made it more amazing. I was able to gradually release the stress that keeps on bothering me when we took a quick stop-over and feel the moment of being with nature.
The Captivating Beach Resort
We proceeded to Tagasa Public Beach Resort after eating our lunch at our favorite restaurant located in the center of the town. As we arrived at this beach resort, the majestic array of pump boats stacked on the shoreline, tugged our attention to stop by, roam around, and appreciate the everlasting beauty of this beach.
The ocean can be compared to our lives. Sometimes it is calm and serene and sometimes it is unstoppable. It conveyed to me a message that I need to be strong because the time will come that these life-threatening problems will subside.
Gazing at the emerald green and blue color of the seawater appeased my inner sense. It brought me to a meditative state. The calmness of the sea at this moment was beneficial to me I was able to sip the positive energies by listening to the relaxing sound of the waves and it chased away my weary.
I got an awesome feeling on our quick escapade on this beach. I was glad how the locals enjoyed the day by having a chit-chat with families and friends while others took a plunge into the freezing seawater. I enjoyed taking a snapshot of my child as she was enjoying herself here too.
The Bridge to Relaxation
....we traveled to our next destination. I don't have any idea regarding the whereabouts of the Hanging Bridge which was our next itinerary. I kept on asking which road to be taken so we won't get lost. Every time I got responses, they will always remind me to be cautious in driving as the road is too narrow, too winding, very slope and there are portions of being bumpy and tricky. Undeniably, it was a perilous long drive and it took 40 minutes to be reaching the place.
Who will not be rejuvenated by this journey? It was interesting and we were entertained by the green scenery that surrounded our way. This captivating foliage allured us to stop for a while and breathe the fresh air that will surely retune my emotions from being so desperate to be composed. The stillness of nature was so inspiring, it boosted my patience, and to be mindful in every aspect of my life as this is beneficial for the betterment of my well-being.
Upon our arrival, to Tabogon's Hanging Bridge, I never dared to descend to the sloping road. It was very dangerous for me since I'm not a pro at driving thus, we opted to walk for our safety. It was such a breathtaking walk due to the wondrous nature around. 'though the intense heat of the sun can burn our skin, we are still motivated to move forward so we can discover what was waiting for us. It was a fun-filled walk and that helped me to unwind easily.
As we arrived, the enchanting view of nature welcomed us. Everything is incredible. The long narrow hanging bridge is used to cross the other side of the mountain. It is in the middle of two towering mountains and as we traverse it, the beautiful scenery grabs our attention because of their majestic beauty.
Staring at the deep bridge gave me goosebumps. I can't resist staying here long as I am an acrophobic person. I had my maintenance for my vertigo, and I'm afraid that maybe later on I will be attacked. However, I had a spectacular experience due to the wonderful scenery that mesmerized me. We crossed immediately so we can have our full relaxation on the other side which is the beach resort.
I was happily watching the children enjoying themselves to the fullest as they took a plunge into the clear emerald-green seawater. The old hanging bridge behind the new one was totally ruined as this was made from ordinary materials. This was closed and will never use again.
My mental health issue is one of the problems that I've been facing right now. My travel with nature helped me a lot to overcome the anxiety that keeps on dogging and bothering me. While I have a great reconnection with nature, there was a switch in mood that I'm truly grateful for. Nature is significant to my life and the continuous connection with it, will assure me of the complete healing that is life-changing.
The Zone that Signifies Hope
....what gives me courage are my daughters and one of them is my travel buddy. After our 45-minute stay at this beach resort with the hanging bridge, we headed to Tabogon's wharf zone. Another fantastic avenue was visited. I was able to embrace another goodness that nature had offered to me. The panoramic view of the wharf zone was truly amazing, the cloud gazing that I had done gave me higher hope that something good is waiting for me.
I was amazed looking at the Bougainvillea that continues to bloom and was truly inspired by the quote of Lady Bird Johnson that says: "Where flowers bloom, so does hope."
Take your shot
Traveling with nature is a majestic experience as this will help in resetting my moods and there was contentment after all. I have a great bond with my daughter and I was able to teach her the value of reconnecting with nature.
