Topic:
You are banished to a tropical paradise island for five years and can bring only three people with you - none can be related to you, meaning family members - who are they and why would you bring those particular people? They can be people from history or currently alive.
I've always been a private person - I prefer to stay indoors than outdoor and I always love being in my space while shutting myself, sometimes against people. I just love peace and enjoys it more when I am with people in my own space.
Being banished for 5 years to a tropical paradise would do me a lot of good because I want to be with certain people within my own space and for the sake of openness, I won't pick any Nigerian, not for lack of amazing people around me but to just stress the fact that I am not related to any of the amazing people I am pointing out here.
The first person I would bring with me is @Tired_momma. If you look her up on Read Cash, you would know more about her. She is an amazing person and no one to be locked up with on an island than her.
She is an amazing cook as well, so I can be sure that we would make use of whatever we have there to get by and there wouldn't be any problem with feeding. She has good eyes for delicacies which I am certain we would sweetly explore fully.
She is all about positivity and when your head is spinning, you need someone like that around you. The world is tough enough and we need more people with a positive mindset to get us out of the hole. People like her come in short supply and she is an incredible human.
She is kind, tender-hearted and phenomenal. She sees the world differently and her actions speak of warmth. She is an incredible mother and there would always be something amazing to learn from such a person.
When she smiles I am broken into two because her smile is contagious, infectious and charming. 5 years would be challenging but with her there, I know it would be like we just started because she knows how to make challenging situations look relatively easy and you can be sure that she is all about fun too, so we are going to have fun so much that our hearts would give way to laughter even with us shutting ourselves against the world.
The second person I would want in my corner is late President John Fitzgerald Kennedy. I want him with me for those 5 years because I want to learn the art of politics. I want to know his view of how politics was then and how things can be better. I have read so much about him even to the point of his assassination and I believed there are so many untapped potentials about this incredible man. He was cut short so he wasn't changed to give all his best to the world.
For those 5 years, I want to understand his thoughts, his ways, the things that motivate him, the dreams he had and sharing them with me, how I can run with them and make the world a better place, starting from Nigeria. I knew it wouldn't be easy because we can see how he ended up but if I can at least make my mark with half of all he would share with me within those 5 years, it would mean a lot to me because I believe our political scenery needs a lot of help.
I want to know about the things he had in mind for America then and if it's something I can imbibe and carry on here. I want to tell the world his story through his lens because I am a writer and I intend to gather as much information from him to be able to write a book about it. Coming back from the 5 years of banishment, I want to be able to understand politics better and of course, treat people to a book which I am sure would be a best seller.
The last person I would want in my corner is the popular late musician; Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwo'ole so he can treat us to amazing music from his collections. He sang the favourite song; "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" and I believe that song is amazing for Tropical Island. It would be amazing to dance to his song, learn more about music and sound, write a song together with him which I can treat the world to.
I am not just a writer but a lyricist. I have written songs for my brother even though I am not so vast with sounds. I can write the lyrics of a song for Israel which I believe he would turn into gold. I can then bring this song to the world to enjoy.
Those 5 years would be about learning for me because not only would I be able to learn from @Tired_momma's kindness aspect but she would keep our body together with amazing food. We need a neutral person in our corner who isn't swayed by politics and how terrible the world is, but someone who would remind us of how humans are supposed to be and that's why I want her in my corner for these 5 years.
I would also learn how to affect changes in my country through politics with the view of J.F Kennedy flowing through my veins. I would learn about resolve, tolerance, standing my ground and every art of politics that I can learn so this country can go on to dream again and I am writing a book off him as well.
Music is life and I've always loved music. I want to be able to dance away my worries and not get swayed by public opinions. I've always wanted to learn how to play the guitar while singing to the kind of music Israel Kamakawiwo'ole sings. I love his slow and deep meaning songs and who else to learn it from other than the best.
These 5 years, there would be a lot to learn because learning from these people up close would have a way of rubbing off on me rather than reading about them on the internet.
Thank you for your time.
