Hi everyone! This is my first time posting here and am so excited today, really excited and happy because the weekend saw me achieve a course i have been learning for a couple of years.
I have been learning how to sew clothes and bags, all varieties of bags,; purses, school bags, hand bags, waist pouches etc. I started in 2020 and it ran for two years.
According to the principle over here, after learning a skill and having satisfied your master/mistress as the case may be, there will have to be a celebration commonly known as "Freedom where you will be official declared an expert in your skill and presented before the crowd as being capable to have your own establishment and get your own apprentices.
Mine took place yesterday and all through the weekend, my family members have all been as busy as bees to see that the program takes place without a hitch. Gathering resources was not very easy, considering the current economic difficulties and a reasonable amount of finance is required. This is so because aside settling the bills required for your freedom, the invited guests and uninvited guests alike need to be fed.
Also, here we have what we call "Organisers", they are a group of people whom you have picked specifically to spearhead the celebration. These people are mostly people you know very well and have very cordial relationship with, you need to have trust in them because the success of your freedom celebrations depends on them. The returns you will get in terms of money, gifts and sometimes jobs depends on the calibre of people among your organisers. The number of organisers you have and their calibre depends on your financial capability and your status. These organisers will be meeting with you at intervals a couple of months before that day to plan and draw out strategies on how to make the celebration not only a successful one but also a profitable one. At every meeting, you will have to present them with a sumptuous refreshment to boost their morale.
In this case, my organisers were five and i really appreciate their efforts. They really did a great job. I was greatly elated yesterday and i felt on top of the world. It was not very easy going out to the shop everyday save on Sundays to learn. Usually, the learning process was more of practicals than theory, no time for teaching in theories.
The celebration went very smoothly, i was presented with my certificate and declared an expert in the art of bags/clothes making.
Wow! The weekend was blissful and fun for me.
Thank you all.
