I don't know about you, but my weekend starts on Friday! This week, I took an extra day to relax with an idea of a great fishing experience... Well, you can guess by the title that it wasn't like that at all... At least, the fishing part... 😃
not that early morning by the lake 😀
So, the idea was to go fishing to have it for the Christmas Eve dinner... I went fishing a month (or two) ago, without luck and I think that this time it will be different...
The day was perfect... It wasn't too cold, it wasn't too hot, it was ideal weather for being outdoors...
...and to my surprise, it wasn't windy at all... Except for maybe 15-20 minutes that you can notice in a few later photos... As the lake is situated in the mountains, the wind usually starts to blow around 10-11 AM and does like that until the evening... every... single... day... I was going fishing there for over 10 years and every time it was like that... But, yesterday, it wasn't!!!
You can notice that the surface of the lake is like a mirror... If I had better photo gear, these water reflections would be perfect!
This was the moment when I had a slight wind, but it was nothing compared to what it looks usually...
In this photo, you can see the dam at the end of the lake as it is artificially created 70-80 years ago...
... and on this photo, you can see the "beginning" of the lake where a small river is entering and accumulating water...
This is my fishing place and, as you can see, nothing special happens... 😂 I have no idea why, but in previous years, I would have at least 3-4 catches per day, and yesterday, it was awful... It was literally like fishing in the tub... Believe me, I didn't give up easily... I was there for almost 7 HOURS!!!
Back to the surroundings as it was the only "highlight" of the day... 😃 As this lake was artificially made, the water covers many ruins like the one that you can see in the photo...
As this ruin is on a "higher level", I suppose that it was just a simple house...
... but when there is less water in the lake, some of the old mils come up... I was reading about the "pre-lake" era and there were at least 3 of these mils on this small river...
I have taken these photos in the afternoon when I "quit" fishing... lol... As you can see, the water looks great and it was a perfect day to be outside! From that point of view, I'm glad that I went fishing...
Around 4 PM, it was time to quit "for realz", so I packed my things and hit the road to the car...
On the way back, I saw these beauties and had to take a photo for the end of this perfect day outdoors! I hope you enjoyed it, too!
Thank you for your time,
ph
