My loyal little companion 😻 [Week-155]
I have come to believe that if you have a cat, understand part of its personality and adapt to it, you can understand many people in the world.
-Phrase of my authorship-
My siblings and I did not grow up loving cats, but we did love dogs. Despite that, we have always been animal advocates. It would have been wonderful to grow up with a kitty, or so I think now.
Some people say cats are complicated, obnoxious and don't show affection. Let me tell you, yes, sometimes it could be interpreted that way. But, as the owner of Miñe (name of my almost 13 year old cat) I can assure you two things:
Just because a cat may not be or show you affection and attention like a dog, doesn't mean it doesn't.
I think we humans need a little cat understanding.
The connection I have managed to have with my cat, thanks to trying to understand this, is so great that it can explain both points very well.
Thanks to her, I have come to understand a little more some personalities, ways of acting and adapting. Also...
🔸 Calming animal. She has a great sense of my emotions. If I'm having a bad day, she will immediately come lie down next to me, sometimes totally glued to my body, and purr. If I am uncomfortable in the middle of a conversation, she jumps into my lap and does the same.
🔸 My favorite nurse. If I am in bed sick, she will only move from my side to eat and go to the bathroom. She watches me for a while and then falls asleep.
🔸 Goodbye privacy. If I'm watering the bushes in our yard she starts letting out piercing screams..... well not so much 😅, but he looks for me and calls like I'm a pathologically jealous person.
If I'm taking a bath, she opens the door..... Yes, my cat opens doors and windows like a real delinquent 😂 She waits for me to finish and that's when she comes out.
🔸 Helper at my work. If I sit down to write or sew, you can be sure that's where she'll be nosy.
🔸 A bed for three. She sleeps with us and there's no way around it. The end 😂
🔸 Clear communication. I've come to understand the difference in her meows so I know what she's asking me. I also know when someone bullies her or doesn't like her.
Despite all this love, I don't deny that sometimes I need patience so I don't go crazy with her stuff 😂.
For example:
- He pukes and I have to clean it up, yes.
- He poops and I have to clean him up, yes.
- I constantly change his food if he doesn't - like it, yes.
- His mood is totally mood swinging (he loves me and bites me), yes.
- I bought her a super soft pillow, but she wants to sleep in my sandals, yes.
- My clothes are full of white hairs, yes.
But as I always tell her, "You know I love you and that's why you get like this." 😻😂 And, all this is nothing for what I have received and continue to receive from her. She is my faithful little companion.
How can I not feel so much love and connection for someone so helpless, who depends on me for so many things, and who has also shown me so much attachment, care, affection, loyalty and love in the times I need?
Sometimes I think that some humans don't deserve animals and so much love from them. But in my case, definitely, I really think that having a cat has made me a better human 💜

Thank you so much friend Galen, I would be lost without my cat too.
