Share one or two images from your weekend, (this one or last weekend) and tell us about what you did and why.
I am quite a fan of aromatherapy and I went shopping this afternoon for some reed diffusers at Hooga, which is one of the brands that I chanced upon this year, and have grown to like their collection.
I know we are only supposed/required to share one or two images but please indulge me because they do have an extensive collection! I also liked that not only were we able to sniff the scents, they had the description boards to clearly indicate what were the constituents. This allowed customers to look for their preferences easily.
I started trying out aromatherapy stuff only a couple of years back. I was facing some stresses in life, and if one were to Google, one of the ways to relieve stress was actually aromatherapy. There were many ways to do it, from reed diffusers to scented candles, and there were a wide variety of brands available too! I remember splurging on scented shampoo and body scrub from Bath and Body Works and getting scented candles from Yankee Candle. And Google was right - these scents were really a stress reliever and I really fell in love in some of my favourite scents, especially eucalyptus mint.
And then there was a period when mosquitoes frequented my room almost every night, and I used a lemongrass reed diffuser because the lemongrass smell was well known to repel mosquitoes, and as expected, they were gone instantly! To share another tip, there are many other scents such as lavender, mint or citrus that insects dislike too. So on top of being a stress reliever, these stuff were able to get rid of insects! Isn't that amazing?
Of course, the downside was these things didn't come cheap. There was a wide variety of price range, and the more expensive ones tend to be more concentrated and have stronger scents, while the more affordable (or cheaper ones) tend to be more diluted and have lighter scents. After all, you pay what you get. As for Hooga, this was a brand/place that I chanced upon this year, and I felt that they had a good balance between the price point and the quality of their products. It was a bonus that they had a promotion today - the 2nd item was on 50% off - so I had some slight savings from my purchases.
I should clarify that this is purely a sharing of my weekend experience/shopping - and I am not endorsing/promoting any of the brands that I mentioned.
After all, aromatherapy is something very personal and different people react differently to different scents - which is why there are so many types! For those who are interested, especially if you need something to relieve life stresses, I would encourage them to go try out different scents across different brands, and find the ones that best suits them!
So that's my weekend sharing this week. Hope you enjoyed reading and let me know if you have any comments! Have a pleasant week ahead!
