What don't you like doing on the weekend?
Ahhhhhh... That's a really tough one!
At the risk of being "cancelled", I actually enjoy my weekends very much and there's really nothing much that I don't like doing. As I grow older, I like to think that I have learnt to plan my time better and to me, weekends are sacrosanct. That means I actively decide what I want to do, be it spending time with family and loved ones, exercising, or even me time. If something isn't enjoyable, why would I want to do it on the weekend?
Out of curiosity, I browsed through the community to find others wrote. The most common one was...working! I guess I consider myself fortunate that I don't have this issue and 99% of the time I am not required to work on weekends.
Anyway, I digress.
After thinking very hard, I think for an introvert like me, something which I don't like doing on the weekends is to attend many gatherings.
I mean, it doesn't occur frequently, but there are occasions where many social gatherings just happened to bunch up within a similar period (e.g. everyone tends to catch up nearing the end of the year, which is around the festive season). I am not sure if that sounds contradicting, but on one hand, I do enjoy the opportunity to catch up with friends or ex-colleagues over a meal or a house party, on the other hand, the activities and conversations just zap my social energy very quickly.
Normally, I usually have enough me time to recharge, but if the gatherings bunch up or become prolonged, I find it extremely tiring to keep up with the social interactions and I eventually will space out, thinking how good it will be if I were sipping a nice cup of coffee and chilling at a cafe, perhaps watching the rain fall, just like yesterday afternoon. :P
Hmm, so I wonder, is there anyone out there that understands where I am coming from? If you do, comment below! Hehe!
So that's all for my sharing this week! Thanks for reading and have a pleasant week ahead!
