Share only two photos that focus on the colour green and write at least 300 words in explanation. It can be anything at all, but the main colour in your two images has to be green. Tell us about the place and situation, when it was and what you were doing there. You have to use your own images though.
I was initially undecided between picking blue or green but while I was scanning the photos in my phone, I settled on green because I thought it would be more interesting to talk about food!
So the first "green" photo I am sharing was taken during one of the afternoons when I was chilling at Tsujiri, which is a dessert cafe that sells predominantly matcha (Japanese green tea) drinks and desserts. In this photo, I was having a matcha float, i.e. matcha ice blended plus matcha ice cream. It used to cost SGD 7 (USD 4.89), unsurprisingly, with inflation all around us, they have raised it to SGD 7.50 (USD 5.24) this year.
This dessert cafe has been my safe haven during the pandemic period, because it is conveniently located near a train station and the seating area is al fresco concept. Going by the photos I had taken, I probably visited this place more than 10 times in the past year and it's quite enjoyable and therapeutic to sit by the river, people-watch, eat some ice cream, and for a moment, have a mental break from all the stress from work or personal life.
Usually, after my dessert, I would take a stroll along the river and wander around the city before ending the trip with some nice food for dinner.
This second "green" photo was taken at one of the more popular tourist attractions within Singapore. It's at Gardens by the Bay, which is conveniently located behind the iconic Marina Bay Sands. This is a man-made forest (hehe oops) but I would say it is beautifully done as you can see from this photo.
They have a Skyway platform, which is elevated 22 metres above ground, and visitors can pay a small fee to venture up for a bird's eye view. Anyway, one of my friends had complimentary tickets for the Skyway, hence I didn't have to pay to go up.
I must say the view is amazing, with the greenery, the Marina Bay Sands towers, and the Central Business District in the background.
F1 is coming to Singapore next weekend, so if you happen to be in town, you can pop by the Skyway and head over to Tsujiri for some matcha desserts after that! Hehe!
So that's all for my sharing! Feel free to share with me your thoughts too! Thanks for reading and have a pleasant weekend ahead!
