“Weekends don’t count unless you spend them doing something completely pointless.”
- Bill Watterson
There's no point in always being on point, make sense? Hopefully, it does.
Yet, pointless things and activities should be kept to a minimum. That's why the weekend only lasts 2 days. My pointless activities are watching a random documentary, joining the boys on a Discord session to watch a movie that makes no sense, and ordering food from a restaurant, even though there's already food at home. Sometimes I'll even engage in a bit of gossip or a mindless debate, which is quite rare, and it really depends on the topic and people around me. Most of the time I just mute my mic and listen and laugh, while others keep on arguing.
However, I believe my weekend structure is more "natural" sometimes. I don't have to work, but I work because I feel like it, just to get ahead. I could sleep all day, but instead, I get up early and get some extra bit of exercise.

Structure is always present in my routine, whether it's the weekday or weekend.
Yes, it's not always on point, I am human after all, and I do try, but sometimes the structure becomes a bit loose. But if things are getting done on time, and I'm moving forward no matter the pace, then I try not to be too hard on myself.
The weekends are also good days for my solo trips. These are the days when I suddenly decide to go for a walk at a random hour, mostly after dark. No plans no thing, just walk. 3 out of 5 times maybe I'll walk into a restaurant or cafe that seems vacant enough. I let the impulse take over, less thinking more doing. And if I'm feeling extra collected, then I'll probably even take a book with me when heading out.
I'll walk in and choose a nice corner to sit in, order a cup of coffee, a cappuccino please, with a nice brownie, and a meaty sandwich. A man needs nothing more. I'll look around, read, and maybe scroll a bit of social media to see what type of clownery is taking place on that certain day.
The next day I'll probably sleep for 10 to 12 hours, depending on how cool the weather is and how tired I am. I'll stay at home all day, make some coffee, sip away, and work for as long it feels right. These days I'm mostly on Hive, and if not on Hive, then probably YouTube or Twitter.
If things are dirty and dusty, then I'll engage in some much-needed cleaning. It's a chore that leaves me sneezing, triggering my newly-acquired allergy; yet, someone has to do it.
Clothes are easy, a 30-minute spin in the washing machine does the trick. 4 to 5 years ago things were different though, I'd literally have to go to war; washing my clothes with the old school method, and my weapons of choice were a bar of soap, a brush, and a gallon of water lol. Nowadays, my back and muscles can rest easy, and so can I.
And that's my weekend. Some days there's structure and productivity, and some days it's the complete opposite. Will all that change one day in the future? It might, but I'm not complaining at the moment.
